Ok this is a Marsfire 318 big head multi-emitter. It has 3 XM-L2 cool white emitters on sinkpads. The driver is 10% 50% 100% 5amps per emitter. The low seems lower than that though, so I would say closer to 5%. No blinkies, very nice hotspot on this light. Roughly 4,000 lumens with king kongs. There is a ton of heatsinking on this light with a great pill and nice reflector as well. I didn’t de-dome this one because I know some people really prefer the cool white. The reflector is large enough that it’s still a great thrower with a lot of flood as well.
Fast tech sells this light for $86 and that is pretty much the cheapest it sells for. Of course this one is hot-rodded. At four thousand lumens it doesn’t even break a sweat though because of all the heatsinking. I’m running unprotected king kongs. It will not run with protected batteries. It’s drawing too many amps for their protection circuits. I did scratch it up some getting it apart. I really wasn’t sure after I got the thing that I would be able to actually get it apart. I’m glad I was able to because it’s now a ton better light than it was stock. No comparison really. Super nice threads on this light as well. Thick square threads like they all should be. It’s a very well built light for sure.
It’s still available but I have to put it back together again. I stole the driver from it a while back but I just got more in.
The driver I’ll be putting in is 5amps per emitter. Three modes. High, Medium and Low. De-domed XM-L2’s if you want them or domes on or even a combination of both. Emitters on noctigons of course. It’s a great light and with the emitters de-domed it throws and still has tons of flood.
Howdy, it will run a good while on high because it does have very good heat transfer and some great fins on it. I run it till it’s burning by hands and that takes quite a while 5 minutes at least. The driver is all potted and I already de-domed it. It’s a beast of a light.
