Hollow pillow: solid pill is now ready with XML2 light for 7.99 FREE Ship

All of the above? Smile

I've done the over-drilling and it worked for me in the past. I haven't found any evidence of glue on my two.

This thing is BRIGHT

A good SK98 looks like a 3w “Police” light against this thing.
Tint is a little blue when zoomed, don’t know if that is the LED tint or artifacts from the lens assembly though.
Looks good out wide, regardless, this thing is great as is.
Unbelievable heat sinking for a zoomie, it just doesn’t drop off much at all.

More than happy, should have ordered more than 2.

Someone asked if they ship from the ” California Warehouse”, ehhhhhhhhh, No, straight from Hong Kong.
Thanks,
Keith

It is really amazing for the price - best deal around. Mine is doin bout 1,100 lumens now in full flood on a good 2500 mAh LG HE2 cell, modded out, but still pretty incredible for a cheap zoomie. I was able to fit a better quality Omten switch to replace the stock switch - much better. The stock switch itself seems to have loss's at higher amps.

Yes I had the original t6 version which I gave away and as soon as the xml2 resin was available I ordered two on one I mounted a 10 chipped 105 Nanjing 380 Mah not knowing g it was a direct drive so I switched it back to the oem one and to be honest i couldn’t tell the difference.

Good Day Dealmetic.com,

You have PM...

Thank You very Much,

George

It could be paired up with a good quality battery and single bay charger and sold as a complete package? I have 2 of these and everybody I show it to wants one, they really like the flood the most, and I have to say I like it too, but there not Savvy about batteries and chargers, but in a complete kit, people just getting into this would buy it? It’s that impressive!

> everybody I show it to wants one, they really like the flood the most….
> but there not Savvy about batteries and chargers

That would be people who don’t know how to safely use lithium-ion cells.

Would a 3v lithium primary drive this light, if it were given a shorter battery tube?f
(actually that would be good with the cheap hollow-pill version, since it would run cooler)
That would be ideal for giving as a gift to people who you wouldn’t trust with li-ions.

There all professional people, you know Doctor’s, Lawyer’s Engineers,Cops, Firefighter’s real dummies, too stupid to figure it out, probably Blow them self’s up?

Don’t have any high drain battery on me now, but will it get ‘boiling’ on HIGH using those ? I was thinking put some artic silver between the sliding surfaces to increase heat transfer, but it probably nasty (white, and will ‘slide’ out). (is there any black thermal compound? XD)

However, I don’t have my unit. I have been robbed by my friend…… I have no more zeusray in my hand… damn it… :expressionless:

Hi Dealmetic…can I know when is the stock going to be replenished? Its on back-order now…

Will the 2nd batch be made to the same standard by the same manufacturer?

Ooops, mine is modded with a current limiting Nanjg driver so I don't have to worry. But, in stock form the light has a lot of resistance and with a higher Vf of the XM-L2, probably will be constrained - maybe not more than 4-4.5A or so with absolute fresh best cells.

Waiting to grab my second batch. Hopefully Dealmetric is giving us a surprise upgrade. NW tint? New switch?

Tom E., care to recommend a driver that fits and works?

I put in a PC Rebel Amber emitter; it’s overdriven by the stock driver at the high level (the blue emission comes through the phosphor on the spectrogram).

Looking at the stock driver in the pill, I see a little wedge of what might be springy metal in the gap between the board and the pill; wondering how easy it is to swap a driver into this particular light.

(I’m still new at this, done half a dozen driver swaps on SK68-ish lights, with some struggles getting good connection to the pills)

hank - too many threads on this - thought I posted mod details - maybe not everything:

This is what I did/used. Nanjg at 3.85, custom programmed modes. I took a metal chisel and notched the edges - working well so far. I've done this a few times. Another method is using copper sheet metal shims in the gap, press fit the driver in, then solder the copper shims to the driver edge - also works. Lots of variations of this theme have been done. This is always a problem/issue for these all-alum pills... I like leaving a notch on the top edge, shown on right in the pic above to allow you to easily pry up the driver later. If not there, drill/dremel one out.

If you use the copper shim/tab method, be sure not to create any shorts by having loose ends get onto the driver electronics.

Best solution I've seen for the driver mount issue is the 2014 model of the Convoy M2 - thin brass retaining ring that clears the 7135's !! Wish they all were like that - first time I've seen it, but of course the Convoy's are designed for Nanjg style drivers.

got mine in 8 days!

will play with it on weekend…

Yeah, A god using thunder bolt, I guess that is the ray. so I guess we all steal portion of his thunder :stuck_out_tongue:

or…… zeus is behind the production :open_mouth: ? well for me it is still not quite a thunderbolt, unless v2 is going to be pocket rocket with narrow focus. (the focused beam still quite wide in long distant)

Big XM-L2 and small reflector won't throw very far, but it is what it is, as expected.

Does this sound like XR-E EZ900 overdriven on noctigon to put into it ? Maybe better with TIR ?

Yikes, XRE's are dated and can't handle high amps. Better for an XP-G2 on copper, maybe de-domed with the standard aspheric. Thinking for the high amps, de-domed XP-G2 would be your best throw out of this light.

The throw is quite good for what it is in my opinion its not going to compete with a big reflector but I think you would be hard pushed to find a better thrower for $8 mine seems to be in the same ball park as a C8

I like the torch a lot only thing that I could complain about is the “low” is still quite bright, making me wonder just if the BLF Eagle will be 2.5 times as good, as it costs(expected) are 2.5 times as much?
