I will be placing my next SinkPad order soon. I intend to purchase some of the new 20mm RGBW pads. These are aluminum boards, however they provide vastly superior thermal transfer over standard MCPCBs, and even over the typical aluminum SinKpad.
Standard MCPCBs average 1-4 W/mk. AL sinkpad typical is 135 W/mk and these are 210 W/wmk!
For this pre sale the price will be $1.50 each.
Shipping is $4 USA and $7 World wide.
PP is vesture_of_blood@hotmail.com
I will be placing the order within one week of this post. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Also if anyone has a particular driver they like to use with RGBW feel free to mention it. Personally I have used the intloutdoors one and think its great :)
EDIT: If enough people are interested I will also order Luxeon Rebel boards. We will be ordering the RGBW regardless of the number purchased.
Hi vob, that is a great offer! I would be interested in (just ) one xmlcolour Sinkpad, but even more in a few (say four) Rebel Sinkpads, is it possible to include a couple of those in your order? It would make the shipping a bit more worthwile for me as well.
BTW, for anyone using it, I read a post on cpf of someone (conte) who swapped a resistor on the 17mm intl-outdoor driver so the white die of the xmlcolour was driven at 1.3A instead of 700mA.
djozz. I will add you to the list. I would be happy to order any kind of pads the group wants, but there is a minimum purchase of 45 piece. If we can get above that I would order some.
Hey guys Matt asked me to post in this thread about my new RGBW_clicky driver to see if another driver option (with a great UI) could drum up some more interest in these... I have my driver ready to ship, you can read about the build progress "here":https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/28300, note I will be posting a detailed thread of the light I'm offering for sale, as well as the driver (which will be $13) and both the options it has at the time of ordering (code stuff) as well as the end-user configurable options (max power via sense resistors and reset time via a cap change).
Watch for all that info and plenty of pic's in a sales thread later today (I'll come back and update this post with that thread then) This driver can run multi emitters on single or quad MCPCB's as well as XML colors (I have lights with both setup's running).
As discussed I'll take 10 the moment you get them in and then plan on me needing more not long after.
Left = A6 RGBW quad (the lights I'm selling), right = one of my test hosts with XML color (gen2) on a sinkPAD.
Please don't ask questions about the driver/lights in this thread, this is VOB's interest thread not my sales thread, please let's keep OT here so he can get the info he needs without a bunch of clutter.
I guess that there'd be not enough interest in Sinkpads for Rebel leds, BLF being so Cree-oriented (for good reason mostly btw, but for diversity of colour leds the Rebel rules). But in case I'm not the only one: I would take 10 Rebel Sinkpads, so the question is if there's interest for the other 35 within this week?
I’ll take some of those too! Let’s say 3-4 for now. Is there a 16mm rebel option? I would be interested in more of they were 16 but it doesn’t look like it’ll be possible to shave those to 16 cause of the pad location.
Also is the thermal pad perfectly centered (so the die will be perfectly centered) or is the whole emitter centered meaning the die will be slightly offset?
The emitters were centered on the 20mm ones I got pre-populated from Luxeonstar, these:
(they aren’t selling Sinkpad2 boards unpopulated on their site yet, if ever)
As far as I know there are no 16mm round plates offered anywhere (dagnabbit)
(For their 10mm square boards the emitters are slightly off center, just barely so.)
Put me down for qty 4. No idea when or how yet, but like the idea of converting a 20mm XML light. I'll be interested in sources for best deals on the LED's and drivers.
