My Fasttech ticket about receiving a wrong flashlight, as handled by Bonnie

They probably have one person in support with a list of names to pick from for that day! "Hmm . . . let's see, today I'll be Megan." LOL!

-Garry

....and each name comes with an accompanying role: if you have slept well and feel friendly you're Stella that day, if you feel like playing the tough one, you call yourself Bonnie

Ugh, yes this brings back bad memories dealing with Fast tech and several other Chinese companies!! At this point I have resolved to give them a chance and then if not I open a dispute and it usually gets taken care of.

The best response was actually Banggood, I just sent them a pic of what they’d sent and they sent me the item they should have!

Worst was Ric at CNQG, he took about 8 months of erratically responded to emails and forgetting/not sending/wrong sending (I have no idea what he did, just giving the benefit of the doubt) the items. I still haven’t gotten something small correct in that order, but I just don’t feel like bothering he’s such a pain in the butt about it.

This sounds about right, i think their policy is to see what they can get you to accept, and frustration is your problem not theirs (and then play the language barrier on top of that).

to be fair a huge company like fasttech probably would go bankrupt for refunding a whole $20, so its only reasonable for them to fight such a huge loss so hard….

djozz, that is nothing, you should see my 3 months and 23 day exchange with Wallbuys on a $20.99 flashlight, it very much resembled yours in general, but much worse and bizarre.

I was really planning not to get frustrated (as it has no use when dealing with chinese companies) and just carry it on till the end, but I must admit that after the second nonsense offer from bonnie I really got angry for a brief moment.

Sounds like your having similar frustrations with FT as i am having with AliExpress.

Bye bye fasttech, anyway you ow me 15$ worth of stuff. Just plain stupid that behaviour is.

yeah, i now consider it a game and expect it

yours is a bad one though, any resolution would take longer than the 45 day paypal window so you lose your leverage

i believe some of these sellers sometimes hope that the communications can go past that 45-day window so they can not have to worry about giving back full refunds.

probably, i’ve had more orders with problems then without, i always wonder if they already know this thats why opening tickets is so easy

Wow.

Do they not see that just giving you the original ordered product and allowing you to pay them $14 additional for the one they sent first would actually have been the cheapest option for them and made you happy so much sooner?! It would have been cheaper than a partial refund or return postage.

Edit: glad you finally got something you could atleast accept.

I had also such problems and that is why I don’t order things I can get from another vendor at fastech….
I finally had to file a claim in Paypal for a small order because of their endless dumbness and after that they repeatedly said: “close the dispute than we will refund” LOL
I got my money(more than I wanted through their ticket system) from Paypal….

Before that had happened I ordered every week some things, after that I just randomly order there. I am still suspicious if we will get our rebate points(I have around 6 or 7) in October…

I’ve been the opposite, i usually order at fasttech vs other vendors, except for the starry light everything i have bought has been from fasttech or intl outdoor (mind you my collection is less then a dozen lights), oh and some emitters from illumination supply (but they are in the US)

I placed a two new orders at Fasttech since this issue, most of their orders go ok and it does not help to get principal about these type of sellers, they won't either

It’s easy if I like a vendor I browse the new arrivals daily, I did this with fastech a long time but not anymore and so I don’t order things(mostly things I don’t need anyway)there, maybe once a month or so.
I like now to order from BG, with NL post the shipping time is one week and I don’t have to be at home for signing the packet.
And they have Alysonhe the flashlight expert if something goes wrong…

Fasttech doesn’t offer fast shipping to Europe, I opened a ticket with a question regarding that.

There are some staff persons, which help quick and have good solutions. Most I haven't seen for a long time like Noel. Some others aren't my first choice and it's always a long run communication (with Lydia and Jenny).
FT is my favorite knife store for the Asian knives (for German members. Don't use Malaysia Post for knives - every knife I ordered with this make a shipping break at my customs service - sometimes they look a littel bit curious, if I went in to get 5 packages - every package under $22 with 1-2 knives inside). Ok, I ordered a lot in the last month, because the customers of Germany could save 7% with Paypal (only valid in August - was a promotion of fasttech and Paypal.de).

I know a guy that had some awful trouble getting a defective something returned. After a couple of months of endless hassle he sent it back… with a fat, juicy turd inside it and a note explaining what he thought about their crappy customer service.

Granted, he is a bit extreme and sort of well known for his “seal-a-turd” response to customer service issues… but that puppy was not in a heat-sealed bag…

…just recently.
