Investigation: Which flashlight would you want to buy ?

Daniel,

Let me see if I have this right:

I should buy from your company because I can save $0.01??

lightake

vs

dx

AND, if I have a problem with a DX light, they will pay up to 33% of the light cost for me to ship it back to Florida, USA for replacement (Free). What does your company do if the light doesnt work? I have already compared your prices to your competition, and they average less than you. I spend about $200 each month on flashlights. So far, I have not seen a good reason to purchase from lightake.

Also, you asked what light we would like to see discounted for a volume purchase - and we told you. What is your answer? Prices please?

Flashpilot: I have received 5 items from DX wich arrived defective or stoped working in few days. ALWAYS DX sent a replacement for free. The cheapest was 8,12 USD and the more expensive 14,80 USD.

DX has a very good customer service. Probably LT can´t do the same.

Hi Daniel

I recognize that you say you will do something about your high prices. But saying wont do it, action will!

If its only a few prices you will change it will never work.

I dont say that all your prices are higher, but in general they are! But other factors are also important.

As Flashpilot and Fran82 in posts above points out customerservice, shippingtime, RMA are factor

that has to be better than your competitors to really get one to switch supplyer.

And you are to be trusted! The case where you tried to sell a light with a Q5 as a R5 even after you were

told, are not the way to do it.

When everything is better, customers will come without large adverticing efforts. I hope you will manage.

We consumers like competion because the result is often better for us!

hi FlashPilot ,

we just try our best to offer you a better service .

when you are not satisfy with our product ,we can refund your money back if you shipped our product back .

DX have a large sales everyday but we didn't have ,and the can get the procducts cheaper than us because they have a large sale ,

we only cut the profit to keep our price in low , and we also can offer some ship fee when you shipped the item back .

we just planning to cut down the price ,you can see our reomsen flashlight product ,and today i have compare the Fenix flashlight ,and the price will change about three days latter .

We just want do our best ,i think you should give me the chance.

if there is something that you are not satidfy ,you can tell me ,and i will do our best to change it !

thanks for your advice !

Best Regards,

Daniel

Daniel,

1) If I buy a defective item from you, what address do I return it to?

2) What price can you offer the "ITP A3 EOS upgraded" to us for?

FlashPilot, relax. :)

Daniel already said it will take some days plus he is not the one making the prices.

Thanks Phlocus, but on the planet I'm on, its officially tomorrow. Did you sleep to long or did I miss something here? Tongue out All HK resellers have access to bulk purchase pricing from their suppliers online so its not rocket science. How long does a phone call take to confirm? I move expensive items all the time, and a deal like this would have taken me all of 15 minutes to confirm and convey to the forum.

I have asked Daniel in other threads about their return policy and still haven't got a direct answer yet. I buy in bulk (more than 10 lights at a time) from DX because they pay 100% return shipping on items that don't work. If the item is less than $14.99 in value, they ship me a new one... FREE, and I don't have to return the broken item. They also know I spend no less than $100 with them each and every month, so we have an implied business relationship. I've been quite clear with my intent to find out exactly what lightake's position is on returning defective merchandise. Unless they are willing to pay 100% return shipping (if they want the dead item back), my money will continue to be spent elsewhere.

So all politeness aside, Id like to see some concise answers from Mr. Daniel when he has a chance to reply. From Daniel: "and we also can offer some ship fee when you shipped the item back" This is vague and not a promise, and certainly doesn't match DX's return policy. Lets see lightake match DX and maybe then they will get some of my business. Fair enough? I'm not about to pay $20 shipping to return a $10 item all the way back to HK from the US, especially when DX pays me 100% to return their items to Florida, USA. Officially, DX will pay up to 1/3 the purchase price for return shipping. Since shipping never exceeds 1/3 the purchase price (I'm shipping within the US to a US location) they pay 100%.

Well spoken Flashpilot. Lets have some facts. Not that vague nothing.

Give the poor guy a break!

We always have the choice whether to buy or not.

Where I work, the guy responsible for a budget of $150 million per annum has to go to three committees to authorise expenditure of more than $400 outside the normal budget. Which can take 2 years.

There are over 100 users here. Sometimes there are 3x as many non registered users as registered ones online. So let's say there are 400 people reading here - not to mention how the word about bargains gets around.

Look up the saga of the Kodak DX3700 camera being sold at 1/3 of the usual price. That cost Kodak (UK) 3 million dollars.

If a third of these people order a light at $10 off that is $1330. Would you notice that missing from your pay?

I would.

Anyone authorising this has to be aware of the costs. If they are coming out of your pocket wouldn't you care?

You still have the choice whether to buy or not.

I'm really sorry ,we may can offer this flashlight about $19 ,we didn't earn any money at this price ,because we have a high purchase price ,and we will offer more good price products in the further !

Hi Don

Unfortunately you use a lot of words which have nothing to do with the subject and figures which are

pure speculations. How about only $0.10 off? You are talking as though you know everything about

the mans business. What do we really know? Nothing!

We know that he in thread after thread in this forum offer items for sale. We also know that

he askes the members here to suggest what items they want him to offer. Does this mean

that members here are not allowed to ask him relevant questions about the things he sells?

I have seen you and others at once are in the defensive when it happens. If its against the

rules to ask critical questions to vendors in this forum, could you please show me where I can

read it?

You are right one have the choise to buy or not, but to do so you need facts about the items you want

to buy, and thats why FlashPilot (and I in an other thread) asked some clear and straight questions.

Most are still unanswered!

You are missing the point Nautic. The fact that Daniel is using this forum for promotion doesn't mean that you have the right to treat him in a what I consider rude manner. FlashPilot even says "all politeness aside". Why's that?

It's because you are on the net, right? Or are you like this in rl too?

This is Daniel's thread, and he's asking us which flashlight we'd like to get discounted. Daniel ows you *nothing* for gods sake. Your only legitimate means to show any kind of discomfort towards Daniel/LT is to not shop there, or talking to him in a polite and factual manner.

The only thing that Im missing is straight factual answers to straight factual questions. If this is to be rude

lets have Mr. Admin to put it in the rules. But then the whole meaning with a forum will be gone.

Daniel has every right not to answer anything, but I think that will just be bad for his business,

and I have really missed something if its not his purpose to be here. To ask him questions

about his lights is both polite and factual. Or does Daniel have special priviliges here?

I see beginning signs of the heavyhanded actions we see on CPF where first of all moderaters

but also members fall on eveyone who talks about certain things. I dont hope this will take root here.

And you are talking of politeness! I did not write the words "all politeness aside", FlashPilot did,

so will you please be polite and point your fingers at the right person. Im quite sure he can answer

for himself.

You are using something someone else wrote and are accusing me, which you dont know anything

about, to be two persons, one the Net and one in real life. If this is not rude and unpolite, I dont know

the meaning of the words!! (It maybe so, english is not my native language)
