- This Light is in the common Zoomie Class of lights, XM-L T6 Emitter, Aspheric Zooming head, reverse-clickie tail switch, black anodized finish, etc.
The light arrived in a padded Envelope in excellent condition, with now damage.

This Light is similar to other “Tapered Head” Zoom lights,. as compared to the two others in those photo its the largest one of the three in the middle.

- Unlike the other two, this one is claimed to work on both three AAA cells (with included carrier) and a single 18650. ( though the light did not come with the required spacer/sleeve to use a 18650, i did test it using a sleeve for another light & an 18650 and it worked fine.
Also this light seems to have the smoothest Zoom movement of the head as compared to the other zoom lights i compared it to.

- As seen in the break-down photo below, it has the common 5-mode standard Driver, with Lo-Medium-High-Strobe-SOS.
The XM-L T6 is on a 20mm Aluminum star, in a hollow threaded-in pill, with a plastic insulator and aluminum retaining ring threaded to hold the Star in.

  • both the tail cap and AAA-cell carrier has a brass contact pin over the spring, which do give a better connection & current transfer than the lights with just bare springs.

The beam pattern is same as most zoomies on this class, giving a very common cool white (almost bluish tint.
Quality is average for this class & brand of light. Anodizing finish is somewhat glossy, with a few blemishes on edges. visible PWM in Lo and Medium modes. Green switch boot is not GITD.

  • Tail cap draw in my tested results:
    > High: 0.86 amps
    > Medium: 0.45 amps
    > Low: 0.13 amps

- Lumens tests in the Sphere-of-Light results:
> High: 405 Lumens
> Medium: 265 Lumens
> Low: 97 Lumens

PROS:

- Ability to use three AAA Alkaline or NiMH cells, or a single 18650.

- common driver and star sizes for easier modding.

- Tail stands

  • size allows ease of use and zooming with one hand, even with gloves on.

CONS:

- typical 5-mode driver with non-hidden strobe and SOS.

- Average quality and finish. ( typical Ultrafire light)

- visible PWM in Low and medium modes.

- over-cool tint is blush.

- missing 18650 sleeve on package.

  • no grease on threads.

Tinydeal did ship it quickly, good packaging, etc.
A thumbs up to Tinydeal for great service & providing this light for review!
