GearBest shipping issues survey in BLF

Yeah, that’s the problem I’m having, too. I’m not happy that my order from late September is just now being prepared to ship by the “Origin Post”, but I know to expect that. What I shouldn’t have to expect is the lack of updates to tracking information. If they have a tracking system at all, it should be very easy to update the system. Just run the package by a scanner, and the scanner updates the system. Package delays caused by National Holidays or special Customs checks should be known in advance, and one person could type it in to the tracking system one time and that would notify everyone affected by that particular special delay event. So, here’s how I imagine my tracking info coulda-shoulda looked:

Scan1: Package pick-up at Seller.
Scan2: Package has entered Origin Post sorting system.
Update Alert: Customs is performing special checks, expect delays of 1-3 days. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Update Alert: Chinese National Holiday. Expect delay of 7-10 days. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Scan3: Origin Post is preparing your package for shipment.
Scan4: Package has entered Destination Post sorting system.
Scan5: Package has entered Regional sorting warehouse.
Scan6: Package has entered local Post office.
Scan7: Package is out for delivery.
Update: Package has been delivered.

The above would take 7 scans which would automatically update the system, plus exactly three manual entries. Two of the manual entries are there because of special events (so won’t happen all the time, hopefully) and the third one is already usually done anyway. All three can be entered as a general entry for all affected packages.

However, after having said all that, I have to realize that none of this is in the seller’s control. The only thing they could do is use another shipper, and that may be very difficult/expensive or even impossible in some cases.

Edit: There should be more scans, when the package is leaving the various facilities, en-route. But I left those out for brevity. Those are still scans, not hard to do.

I wanted to buy the new Fenix E05, and it shows $16 with free shipping. but at checkout it shows another $1.xx for shipping. Then it shouldnt say FREE shipping on the product page I think?

plus I can`t use my coupon, as it will show a higher price...starting from $18.xx

Wow, I had forgotten that, but there's a video of a Duracell commercial that I remember having seen.

lol. Funny thing is that the package did come with a genuine tracking number. Who knows, maybe someone wanted to clear a load of work before the Chinese holidays.

I did open a ticket at GB last week about the tracking number that showed the package had apparently arrived (at it’s Spanish destination, I guess). I was told the usual “please check with your local Post Office”. I was going to update GB just now, but that ticket has disappeared.

my tracking numbers now work… 13 days from ordering

Glad to hear some peoples are at least working - my courui was posted 29/9 and still not tracking :frowning:

Hi every BLF members,

Because recently we have a bug with our system that results in the tracking number problem( now it has been right), if this problem has happened to you, please PM me with your order number. And really sorry it bothers you, beg your forgiveness.

Best Regards,
GearBest.com.

THIS IS NOT LPF |(

Do we look like bloody laserholics to you? This is BLF!

flashlight page with Fenix e05 shows FREE SHIPPING. but it will put another $1.xx on top of the price..

can you please delete the words FREE SHIPPING, if its not free.

Hi dangerous and DanielM, I’m so sorry about this mistakes and thanks for you pointing out that, please forgive, and I have fixed it.

Hi ChibiM, thanks for pointing, we are now improving it, but it needs some time.

I had a strange email from GB this morning, telling me my Floureon usb powerbank had shipped “today”, and giving me the tracking number. Er, that will be the package I received on Monday, I guess?

Still, good that they did let me know the correct tracking number, but using their standard form isn’t that clever. Obviously the wrong tracking number episode has been resolved.

Finally my Yezl Y3 + 5 extension tubes come at my door!
It took 25 days, not so bad. The only mistake with my order was the second tracking for extension tubes, delivered to Spain. It was not my, because they come into the same pack of the flashlight!

Can’t fault Gearbest with my first purchase. Posted 29/9 arrived UK 16/10. Happy with that and thankyou!

update on shipping, ordered my Jacob a60 on the 27th of september and received it 14th of october. payed for the NL postage and it payed off. more than 2 weeks faster than normal delivery times.

Hi all of you  , really feel great that you have received them, thanks for your kindly words and shopping with GB

I just received my flashlight order in good condition yesterday. If you take into consideration the Customs issue in China, as well as the National Holiday, my overall shipping time wasn’t so bad. Tracking could have been a little better operated, but did finally work. I’m not impressed, but I’m not unhappy either. The light is in good condition and works well. Overall, I’d give my shipping experience a 3.5 stars out of 5.

12 days after dispatch and the tracking still doesn’t work, is that normal for NL post?

I think it first needs some time to send to the NL, and then you will be able to start tracking your parcel.. at least that what happens to my Singapore/Malaysian/Sweden post parcels from China.
