Heck of a chunky pill for an AA/14500 light. (See Post 11 first !!!)

You don't have to be a web designer to post a real photo, or to take one. Actually the photos were already taken, since there are photos are of computer monitors. Funny indeed. Maybe it was cheaper this way :)

But the photos are real. You can see romisen lights in them. Maybe they didn't know how to do proper image resize. LOL.

Probably.

They've taken that photo with BenQ DC 740, a 7 MP camera. But it can also take photos at 1024X768, exactly like the images I've posted.

Well :) they don't know how to resize a photo, but they can work with ASP.

Really? I can only see a bunch of SuperFires...

I stand corrected, sir. The "flame" part actually really looked the bottom of the "R" in the romisen logo w/ the blurry pic.

By who's words? I assume you didn't use the email address on szromisen.com

I know how to contact a company, thanks for assuming the opposite.

So on Alibaba or in your fantasy, whatever.

The conclusion is still that either these crappy lights are fake or Romisen (Mingxing Dongli Electronic Co., Ltd.) the whole company is in fact now a "fake", mostly copying Ultrafire and Trustfire designs using substandard parts. If I gave a crap I would have checked it out when i was at Romisen a few weeks ago but I had far more interesting things to do than checking for some lousy fake flashlights, maybe next time.

I don't know how phlowcus contacted them, but their website has an email.

I won one at auction on Ebay for like $8... got it in the mail - it is definitely a fake...

It's about as bright on high as my Lumens Factory E-series XP-G LV head on medium.

It DOES have a forward clicky... It does NOT seem well made...

Avoid at all costs...

Yup , same here. I bought 2 of romisen flashlight from ebay the last 2 weeks and both of them turn out to be fake. I'm so pissed of. Wasting my time waiting.

Some of you are really immune to facts.

This light, the RC-R5, is 100% genuine Romisen (read above). I've got two of these, one from KD and the other from ebay and they are absolutely the same. Both of them came in a typical Romisen cardbox (like this or this or this) with the model nr and battery usage printed on a sticker and a small black circle indicating the color.

Low quality and Romisen can very well go hand in hand, just have a look at the very sucky RC-F7 (which can be found on their site, too).

Genuine, end of story.

Can you post some pictures of your light please. I am interested in the pill design if it is mod-able to the strobe delete 3 mode like the Trustfire.

KD is notorious for low quality lights, ebay light are mostly fake. You get what you pay for, do i need to say that again?

It seems like you haven't got a real quality romisen. Try get one from shiningbeam.com or even on dealextreme, then compare them to the fake ones you got.

It's YOU who requires multiple repetitions, not me.

It seems you can't read.

I own more Romisens than you.

Looks like I ignited a sh&# storm! Everybody duck!!!! Honestly, I've only owned maybe 4 Romisens ever. Why I call this a fake is because it's not even close in quality to the others I've owned and seen, and because it's sooooooooooooooooo DIM! I mean... give me a break... If that even is an XP-G in there, it must be like - an A2 bin or something!!! I'm not buying it... sorry.... Maybe I should take some current draw readings... if it is an XP-G, it would have to be driven at ~300mA.... It's that freakin' dim!!

Well, I mean... I bought it... well, you get what I meant! :D This thing SUCKS!!!!

Not to mention - NO MODE MEMORY!!! It just comes on in the next mode - no matter what. You could wait 3 days and it will still remember and come on in the very next mode in line... It's like the lotto -you'll never know what you get when you turn this sucker on...

Update - right after writing that last post, I decided to pick it up and play with it... The switch broke within seconds! It now only comes on in high if I repeatedly click the switch! What a piece of GARBAGE!

Sometimes I wonder if some chinese sellers (and others) buy "seconds" from manufacturers and sell them as "new". The romisen I bought was a P O S fake or not. You usually get what you pay for or lesser quality than what you paid for.

I do not agree on that one. I have had a F7 as a keychainlight for a long time now.

Its a nice little light. I have lost it to the pavement many times, thown into the drawer

with the keys every day, etc. - Still functions! Long runtime and Ok brightness for the

purpose.

I guess someone will never learn.

You keep buying cheap craps at cheap prices from cheap online places, you end up with only cheap romisen flashlights <<< i have learned that lesson very well. Do you? or maybe all you have are fake ones so nothing to compare.

I don't care if you have 100 romisens if all of them are fake.

Have a great day :)
