What blade did you EDC today?

It should be named something like “I’ve spent far more of the kids college funds on knives than you have on flashlights”

There’s some serious knife collections going on with some o you guys! Geesh!

I have a few, carried most of em for years before buying another. The Buck/Strider Mini that just got ousted from my pocket has been there for a decade. This new Sage 2 might be the one I carry to my death bed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Enjoying the show, at any rate. So keep em coming. (meaning, the wife took my credit card and called all the stores to blacklist me)

I looked at the ZT knives like the one just above and something bothers me about the style. On the frame lock style with the cut out so the lock can actually be used, do y’all find the cut out on the outside hangs on the pocket?

I got a Strider clone and it’s made that way, has SS frame instead of Ti. I had to file down the outermost edge at the lower side of that cut out so it wouldn’t hang on my pocket trying to pull it out. The clip presses the sewn seam of jeans into that groove and the dang knife gets stubborn!

The Sage 2 has that relief cut on the inside, not a problem at all. As does my all Ti Mission MPF.

Just wondered if anyone else had issues with that new way of doing the frame lock or if it was just me….

I’ve never had any issue with the Hinderer style ZT’s catching in my pocket. . I carry the 0566 & 0560 quite often.

actually it has come one of my favorite little knives.

The ball bearing pivot system makes it addictive

I have no issues with my frame lock 566, it may have to do with the fact that it is a clone and not all clones have good QC? I could be wrong and the strider may hang up in pockets. You might also shop around for a longer clip.

Hey Dale,

Have ya played with one of these just yet?

I am rather intrigued with it. might end up on my buy list before getting a strider knife.

edited to ad a better link to the knife.

Flipper already machined for tritium vials I see.
Another very hard to resist knife.

The MG DAMM is a nice looking knife. In size and configuration it seems to be on par with the ZT 0560, although I don’t know if N690 is comparable with Elmax. I’ve read it’s close to VG-10, and that’s a good steel so assuming they have a good heat treatment that would be excellent value for money at the $60-$90 you’d pay for it.

I’m looking for a cheap source for tritium vials. It’s not easy to find them in such a small size.

Based on two months of use the N690 blade seems very similar to my other VG-10 blades (Spyderco Endura) regarding edge retention and sharpening.

Not yet, I had the EX-03… Hogue is putting out some great knives.

check this http://www.banggood.com/Betalight-Kit-Marker-S-M-L-Tritium-Selfluminous-Fluorescent-Keychain-p-928410.html

any of them can be adjusted to the hole?

There’s a few different sizes and shapes on AliExpress
I seem to remember someone on here (or the other place) had some for sale at reasonable prices.
Strangely enough some counties will not allow the import of tritium, they treat it like it’s wildly radioactive, it is a bit but not wildly.

Thanks for the link, but I need the vial only (without the protecting case).

Here is the sales thread on CPFMP

SanRenMu 763, but the belt clip is hurting my finger so need to figure out how to remove it, no luck yet, no suitable tools in the box

Size 1/16 hex bit fits the screws perfectly.
You can also try the 1.5mm metric hex bit but that’s a smaller size.

Steve and AlexGT thanks for the links I’ll check them out.

Thx! will go shopping tomorrow for 1/16 hex
