What blade did you EDC today?

Zero Tolerance 0566 since I go it months ago, love it

My carry right now

I’ve slowed down my purchases, but I recently picked up this nice hand made Indian Kukri:

And I picked up a Kershaw Freefall to add to my growing flipper collection:

Opinel effile 10 olivewood.
Super sharp for precise cutting but the blade is fragile. Only for kitchen and eating.

I recently scoured one of these. SOG Twitch II. I was in the market for a knock off knife of some kind, but saw this and it looked nice. So I got it. And Yes the blade has some play, but it has 100% lock up lol. Still a super clean looking knife. They have 2 sizes. I ordered the smaller one because I always put a lanyard on my pocket knives. It opens super fast with the flipper or thumb stud. Came sharp enough to shave a goat.

The pics don’t do it justice. This knife is pretty in person. Goes well for golf casual attire. Or a night out on the town dinner with friends / family or even one of those Craigslist blind dates??? :Sp

Thoughts?

Good looking knife, I’d prefer a Flash 1 if it’s legal where you live, just because of the assisted opening. I like wood scaled knives though. I’ve no experience with SOG knives but might try the Slipzilla sometime in the future.

Day at home today so a chance to use some of my clones.
These two are my favourites at the moment with top spot going to the Military, it fits my hand and would be ideal with gloves on as well.

I was wondering how long until I saw some more ZT on this thread. Dale and I were the only ones (I think) until you posted yours.

You made a cool lanyard for the Military. Are those nuts and skull beads?

Just an update.

I’ve been practicing with my new stones with excellent results.

The women in my building now have razor sharp knives in their kitchens. My little pub across the street is owned by a Chinese girl, and I sharpened her uselessly dull cleaver knives to hair shaving sharp.

If you want to practice free hand sharpening, do it on women’s kitchen knives. No matter how bad a job you do, they’ll still be better than they were.

PS. I just ordered a chosera stone to try out. I’ll let you know.

I cleaned up the blade a bit , sharpened , & added some hockey tape for grip… This thing is a beast.

… on SPF whitewood what blade isn’t? Get ya a Temple Purple stud and have a go at it…

Spyderco Aqua Salt. Another hot, sweaty morning.

Well you’re just a little ray of sunshine aren’t you?

Spruce-Pine-Fir or as we call it, whitewoods, is soft lumber. Yellow pine grade 2 is much harder and would say a lot more about a blade that could whack it up.

My cousin used to brag about being able to break SPF studs out of a wall with his fist. Wouldn’t even try it with YP. Just saying….

Sorry, I grew up in a lumber yard.

I have some purple heart growing on my property that gives my chainsaw nightmares.

I bet! It’s a pretty wood but very hard. Beautiful as knife scales though.

Knife handle blanks… Just havent figured which knife I wanna put them on yet

I really like the Spyderco Military 8steve88 but I’m a tip up carry guy and I can’t get past that the Military doesn’t have the option.

So - here is my favorite EDC -

It’s an old sprint run Endura and as you can see very well used. Just found out that these now sell for
$ 200.00 and maybe a bit more. I need to send my $ 69.00 Endura back to Spyderco for some reconditioning. Would be worth spending $ 30 or $ 40.00 to get it back to like new. The blade has been sharpened enough that the tip now doesn’t fully get concealed by the scales when closed. Just sticks out a bit. Not enough to bite but still not right.

I’m a huge Spyderco fan. Of course I have too many (as with flashlights) but the Endura sees the most pocket time.
