If you’re on the fence over whether or not to get this driver, just go for it!
I put one in a Fenix TK22 that was originally set up with a tail clicky for on/off and a side switch for modes. It was also rather anemic, with some 600 lumens. The LD-1 went in hard, as the original driver was a 2 board set-up, but now that it’s in I’m loving it! The tail clicky works all the modes in normal form, for use as a tactical light. The side clicky works the light as an e-switch normally would, provided power is on at the tail switch. So it’s the best of both worlds, with a lock-out for the side switch. And I gained a doubling of output to over 1200 lumens!
I Highly recommend this driver.
(also put one in a Sinner Ti light, this one was super easy to install and works like a champ on the tail switch.)
That kind of indevers should be supported, bravo
Whats your practise OP, direct PP payment or i should wait for an invoice?
Also, do you happen to have some spare 20mm Cu direct thermal pads?( will pay aditionaly ofc)
Waiting for your PM,
Regards!
I found a final home for my last LD-1 today. Picked up my first Sunwayman light, got it yesterday, the little Tomahawk C20C. While it’s UI wasn’t really bad and it had a nice feature or two, it was also only able to do 1.8A. So, I pulled it’s thin aluminum star with XM-L2 emitter and fitted a 20mm Noctigon equipped with an XP-G2 emitter. Now it has a tighter hot spot and runs 4.45A making 811 lumens out the front.
Love it when a plan comes together! And it’s the size of a AA light, somehow it takes an 18650. I’ve got it stuffed with a 3200mAh Panasonic BD cell for the above numbers. Should last a good long while especially in the lower modes.
Driver is solidly grounded, has a bit of a brass sink soldered in to ground as well, and is potted in a good protective layer of Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive.
I coudnt fit ld 1 in Yezl, the main issue is crossing from the original board to the LD 1-its just too much wiring and not solic contacts, but in c12 it shines, 5.02 amps!
Now i have to find a nice hd 2010, its default driver diameter is 17mm
LD 1 driver is realy nice, i would need 2 more, nice work Neven, watching the awailability like a hawk
On the road X6M has potential too, but again its default driver is 30.5mm…
i put one LD-1 into a HD2010 instead of the Fasttech V10+ and changed LED from XM-L U2 to XM-L2 U3 dedomed. KLux/Kcd got up from 125 KLux/Kcd to 212 KLux/Kcd. Focussing the LED into the reflector is a pain but it´s worth it
