STARTED: GBGB: Stainless steel AAA clicky with a clip (CQG S1 "clone")

1 neutral white.
I ordered one.
Too bad it doesn’t have some sort of shape to it. But their dimension is 1.2 cm., the only light I have seen thinner (though longer) than the Maglight Solitaire. Looks like they used the advantage of the steel’s strength.

bummer, protected led lenser 10440 does not fit on it :frowning:

Will buy!

How do you know the Led Lenser 10440’s are protected?

im not sure if you can see it bit there is a strip
like bulge in it’s side.
hmm, are you thinking protected 10440 never existed
edit: posting pic in opera mini is really a chore. anyone care to help?

Sure. Here we go..

Wow.

Protected 10440’s you don’t see everyday. I guess Led Lenser’s are torches for non flashaholics though.

Any ‘reviews’ on this flashlight?

I just ordered 8. Xmas gifts are going to be bright this year.

Agree, just got my second order of 7 lights in for just that purpose.

Review-

Works well, nice looking body. Stick a cell in the end, screw tail on, press button and you have light, its single mode only with about 35Lm on NiMH.

Sorry, couldnt resist. Not trying to be a dick or anything just joking around a little. There just isnt a lot to review for a $5 flashlight, it works well and based off the number’s sold in the GB its well liked. Also a reasonable mod host if you want to do a tiny 10440 build (better than the original S1 in that regard- solid pill and screw on bezel). My ONLY complaint is the reverse clicky, a single mode light like this should have a forward clicky.

That ‘review’ was perfect. Not many budget reviews going on BLF nowadays. Losing its soul

I got 3 more CW. Unfortunately, 2/3 have logos… :_(

I don’t want to gift the ones with logos so I will probably be giving them away here on BLF.

Looks like FastTech is selling a very similar light but with higher output and Romisen brand: https://www.fasttech.com/products/1601/10000622/1946201-romisen-rc-3007-1-cree-xp-g-r5-148lm-1-mode-pure

All visible parts look identical with the exception of the metal cap on the button, which looks slightly longer than the SingFire. The brass-colored insert is deeper in the tailcap, which would give a bit more room for making a hole to mount a ring, as Romisen did with the 3008 UV

Finally got my NW version which i ordered on October 31st. Shipping speed wasn’t bad although the most glaring issue is that the light doesn’t work. |( The black wire from the driver is completely disconnected from the LED. It looks like the wire was too short in the first place and someone was miraculously able to solder one single measly hair-thin metal strip to the LED. It may have worked for a short time but most likely came apart while in transit. I have put in a ticket to Gearbest so we’ll see what they say.

Here’s the issue

11/17/2014 9:04EST—EDIT: Gearbest replied saying they are going to ship a replacement out to me. I gotta say that was a really fast reply time!! It only took 3 hours!!

I got one of them. It seems to have the same LED as the GB. The body appears to be the same too. My romisen sample has a slightly larger gap between the tailcap and body and the sensor on my romisen is slightly more off-center than my GB samples. The output appears to be roughly the same - if anything, the GB has higher output. I’ll be giving it away in the coming weeks.

What 10440 do you use in your Ti3? I just bought one and I’m interested in the increased output.

just received another one yesterday and it was Singfire branded. Previous 6 or 8 were unbranded.

will a efest 10440 work with this light without adding a solder blob?
anyone have est. lumens on a 10440?
