Review: TrustFire Z1 XML-T6 "1600 Lumen" Zoomable (a.k.a. Z5)

Yes it is strange. The one reviewed here is definitely labeled as, "Z1". But there is an identical one on ebay labeled as "Trustfire Z5". Enlarge the picture shown here. Either TF realised their mistake and corrected it on the second batch or one of the two is a fake.

Yes, the trustfire Z1 is the light on the right

I can't imagine they name two different lights the same...how bizarre is that?

Come to think of it TF may have done the same before. Their are two TF-R2's. One is a P60 host and one is a Dereelight DBS clone and AKAIK both are genuine.

Nice looking light. Trustfire seems to spits out a good design lately.

what is the actual output lumens on this torch??

of course x9 willbeat this z1

its called the z5 at mf

dont bother on the name.. what is more important is the ouput..

The number stated on the body is really misleading.. i guess, it will not reach beyond 800lumens

i see a cheaper one trustfire z5 ,everybody check and given advice to me,it at http://www.lights-box.com

it is the output that is important... not the name....

i wish i could erase the lumens numbering on its body

Lighmalls have this light for $38.50

You can find it cheaper on ebay auctions. I won one from cyberport888 for under 40 bucks as a bike kit. Came with the light, a bike mount, two 18650 batteries, a charger, and a taillight shipped for under 40 bucks.

btw, it's a cool little light. Kind of a funky beam profile and the zoom adjustment is a little awkward sometimes but it's fairly bright especially in flood mode. It does lose a little output in spot/throw mode but as a jack of all trades type light I think it's pretty cool.

getting this zoomlight soon... i suppose it only produce around 500 lumens in zoom mode

i find TrustFire Z5 Cree XM-L T6 1600 Lumen Zoom Led Flashlight White just $38.65,TrustFire TR-3T6 $54.50 have 3800lm,cool

Hi ...I have this flashlight.... If your want a flashlight for illuminates far don't buy this model. This model is good for close but for far no, even in full zoom mode. I'm not sure if is really 1600 Lumens....i'M not very happy of this flashlight.

If you want absolutely 1600 lumens with zoom go with this model http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1600lumen-CREE-MCE-LED-Zoom-flashlight-torch-/280721816439?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item415c52fb77

The lens is better and it's a MCE led.

If the zoom is not very important for you go with this model http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1600-Lumen-Light-CREE-XM-L-XML-T6-LED-Flashlight-Torch-/150613836650?pt=AU_Sport_Camping_Hiking_Lamps_Torches&hash=item231148c36a

I suppose that MC-E won't give any more lumens than this XM-L.

The only "problem" with this torch (Z5) is that throw mode loses quite much light because of quite small lens diameter. Don't get me wrong, otherwise it's GOOD (quality, flood, battery life).

This torch has actually become my go-to flood light. I simply love the bright, wide, uniform flood it gives. And the runtime is good, as assumed.

And if I need a thrower, I can always pick a real thrower like my Fandyfire STL-V6 (Which is GREAT! ~48klux@1m, tailcap current 1.4A)

not bad though... it's so much better if compared to other zoomable flashlight

how about this one,for this one,its price lower than the trustfire Z5,fund it on lightmalls too, here zoomable flashlight

anyone has tried to change it's driver with 2.8A??

With which 2.8A driver? It should stand 8.4V, so the 8*7135 one is out of a question.
