Rating: GearBest.com [AVOID]

It is not because Gearbest says that the regular price of this light is $69 that it actually is. Wherever I looked on the internet, it is only $39. So if you want to fool yourself and believe that you actually got an excellent deal from them with a 61% discount on this light, be my guest. Next time, ask Gearbest to inflate the original price by 500% and get enthusiastic about the amount you saved. You can even buy a few additional lights from them, thinking that they all came for free with the money you saved on the first light. I for one am not fooled by such a con tactics.

Are you new to sales tactics? Its not like the Chinese are the only ones who do this.

They are probably not, but I never saw a retailer trying to screw its customers so blatantly.

You usually buy, where the end price is the lowest, don’t you? So why bother if the basic price is too high, because with added “discount”, it’s still cheaper than anywhere else?

Thank you for taking care of those orders — appreciated. Gearbest is alright

They refunded the $6.52 I requested. Maybe what happened was that the site software went back to “regular” non-reduced prices when I entered the coupon code and then when it decided later that the coupon was not applicable, it failed to restore the listed discounts. Anyway, check all numbers and don’t depend on the site software for anything. And don’t bother trying to use coupons.

Their system seems to calculate discounts weird. I think what it’s doing is that some items have a built-in coupon, and if you add another coupon, it cancels out the built-in one and the price actually goes up after the new coupon is applied to the order. Some coupons seem to work fine. I just bought 6 more of those AAA lights because the group buy coupon still worked. I also noticed that some coupons only work if there’s just one item in the cart. It’s not a big deal to break up orders when everything has free shipping.

Love their deals.
Do NOT like their processing time.
From date of order/payment until date of shipping is too long
( like 4 days often)

Gearbest,

I received an email from you dated 23 Oct that my order has been shipped out. On 14 Nov I sent you an email that I have not received my purchase. Till date i hear nothing and received nothing. Please check your PM concerning the order number, thanks.

Hi SoulCraves, If you have questions about the order in the future, please be free to PM me (CSgearbest) with your order number, I will check it for you as soon as possible:)

I recently ordered a SRK clone from Gearbest (This one, you can specifically choose black there) because I like the black color with the silver switch.
Unfortunately I received a gray one with a red switch, so I contacted gearbest’s customer service with pictures and all, telling them that I received the wrong item. They replied that it is the correct item, and asked cockily WTF my problem was. (Ok, they were a little more polite, but that’s how their response came out to me…)
I decided to try to help them understand and sent them this picture:

They told me again, that it actually IS the correct item and the supplier changed the colors but gearbest just didn’t change the description and the pictures.

That’s just not my problem. I didn’t receive the item that I ordered, it’s simple as that, and that’s 100% gearbests fault. I wouldn’t have ordered if I had known that I’ll get a gray one with a red switch.

That’s just a really pathetic performance by gearbest.

I guess I’ll just let Paypal handle the issue…

Yes, that is very bad. I would also take it to paypal if gearbest will not take responsibility.

You should be glad they didn’t send a red flashlight with a gray switch

@CSgearbest : Could you please tell us whether the Olight S15R you are selling have the revised charger (v.2) or is it still the old version?

Hi Tapis, it’s the new version now, thanks for you liking it.

I received what for me is a large order yesterday. It isn’t exactly what I ordered and it doesn’t all work, but I am pleased with it. That makes me think that Gearbest is doing better at finding and buying nice things than at describing them in English.

My C3 with cree flashlight head power bank arrived after about 1 month. The item was shown as “ships within 3-5 days” but it really wasn’t in stock. I wrote their CS and the response I got was “sorry friend please allow us some more time, best regards”, the tracking was there but never updated until 3 weeks later when it was accepted in china post office. The shipment only took 1 week, but apparently they can give you a tracking number without even dispatching the item.

Anyways the product itself is nice and in response to the post on page 3, the battery is inserted just like in a flashlight, negative side is tail. It gives my iPhone 6 a full charge using a 3400 mAh Panasonic with some power to spare, so compared to other power banks it is quite efficient.

I’m ordering the Courui now and I hope to receive it before xmas.

I have been wondering whether the Chinese postal service is really that slow or whether it is possible for Chinese companies to generate a tracking number without handing them the package.
