XTAR WP2Ⅱ14500/18500/16340/18650/18700 3.7V Li-ion battery Intelligent USB Charger with very competitive price! ! !

I was going to say you have better eBay than me but then I searched and looked again... And yes, 16,69$ seems to be the lowest including shipping.

Do you know if this includes the 12V power source, it does not mention about it at least... http://www.ebay.com/itm/XTAR-WP2-II-Battery-Charger-/110734141361?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item19c844e7b1#ht_500wt_1156

edit: this offer seems to include adaptor (flat or round) but not so sure about that eBay link. Any experiences? I already have a 12V powersource so no particular need for another one...

Its without cardapter and only US Plug

I stand corrected. Can see it now. Somehow that didn't come up in my search results this morning. :/

But I agree that we could get a better deal. Maybe some sort of combo, like: Charger, car adapter + 2 XTAR 2600mAh 18700s

Or include same spacers for 16340s , as these don't seem to be part of the charger.

I agree.. Free spacer, or free car adapter at least. Or maybe a $20 combo with 2600 battery cell

So let me get this straight: There's a WP2 and a WP2 II? Is the difference USB charging?

Two free spacers come with each charger I'm pretty sure.

There are multiple reviews on CPF and here for the WP2 and WP2 II, the new version has a better charging algorithm, so is safer and easier on the cells, has two charging levels to select from (500ma and 1000ma) and also the USB discharge function. It is generally better fit and finish too.

There are many small differences, one is USB, another is lower terminatations current, i.e. batteries are filled better, especially small batteries. The V2 charger also has two current levels.

You can find my review of V2 here and of V1 here.

Why does the USB output only 500ma? Most smart phone chargers now need 1A and I would think 18650's would support this ok.

I do not know XTARs reason for 500mA, but 500mA is what a standard computer usb port can deliver, only usb3 or usb chargers can deliver more.

Yeah, I just figured most people would be charging something instead of plugging a mouse or thumb drive into it Smile

2 spacers are included normally (on ebay, they are - yes, on the cheap auction, too). To charge a 16340 you need both - so you could not charge 2 16340 concurrent.

Is it possible to offer two different packages for a better price (the second package is good for the people, who have bought some XTAR battieres in the past)

1. 2x XTAR 18700 2600 with 1x WP2 II

2. 2x WP2 II

It would be perfect, if the packages could also be combined with a MP1 charger (for travel). For I good price I would buy 2 WP2 II and one MP1.

Just got my mp1 and 2 2600mAh 18700s

I could be tempted by the new charger if it came with 2 of the 2600mAh 18700s for a good price.

If the deal was open for a couple of weeks or something?

At the price though, I have no need and no temptation to make me rush.

At least mitro's charger came without spacers... this needs to be clarified.

Just received mine. Unfortunately it didn't contain any spacers, so there's basically no 16340 support in that.. And no car adapter, but that I already knew. BUT the seller did include an EU plug adapter as a free gift, nicely done.

(It was ordered from ebay, if that makes any difference)

Miles PMed me after I posted that and told me that it was a packing error. Did the other testers get spacers? I dunno, but I’m having a hard time getting a good connection with even 50mm cells w/o the spacers. It makes it hard to do a review when the electrical end of things has been covered extremely well by the more experienced reviewers.

I did not get any spacers with my mine. I wondered why they where not included, but did not ask about it.

SZWS, we want a better deal. What can you do for us?? Please reply.

I have found them have faster post than ebay especially to Australia.

So, no better offer?

At least we are sure that spacer are included?
