****Copper Eagle Eye X6 heatsinks****(design)

Edited my previous post with interest in 2 heatsinks, to be used with the XP32 mcpcb. Thanks.

Should be something like this, for the triple…

Anyone recognize the sample BLF SE X6 that made the road trip? :stuck_out_tongue:

Somehow I assumed your 4040 lumen monster was the quad. I’m guessing the quad was only lower because you used XP-G2s, is there some reason not to use XPLs and get more lumens out of the quad??

And like this for the Quad…

This heat sink has been refined to better fit the bezel for full contact inside the head with better fitment. Call this one the prototype of the prototype.

I chose XP-G2’s for a few reasons in the Quad. The tint, the reduced heat, longer run time, the optics fit without modification or de-doming the LED’s and I just got new S3 3C emitters while I’m about out of XP-L’s.

3 and 4 at a time get’s downright expensive!

Also, I had an aluminum bar and would prefer copper under the XP-L’s. The triple that is making 4040 has a stack of 20mm copper stars under the 32mm copper Noctigon, all reflowed into one piece. It was the doing of that light that gave me ideas for the full cup design of the quad. And then having to wrap the one you see above with aluminum strips for bezel contact made me redraw it once again. So having built a few, all the short-sightedness has been ironed out for the diagram Nitro is using to have samples made.

Before there is a bunch of confusion....sometimes easy to confuse me :) It may be a good idea to poll what people want....triple or quad. For myself I want the triple.

On second thought one of each :)

Sounds good. I have one triple from Richard I love using. I find the novelty of blasting max frequently just wears off and you just choose a lower mode to run continuously when you need run time anyways. Whenever I want to “blast” it though, the higher the better. So I’m leaning towards a quad XPL, hoping for no other good reasons not to  Cost is definitely one though, these things get so pricey by the time you are done collecting all the parts, and assuming I dont screw something up and it gets more expensive. But I have to give my X6s a real turbo and a reason for the nice cooling fins!

If we’re doing a poll, I’m in for a triple.

Well the way i see it is that since I'm working with him on the triple, im going to have him make one for the quad and do a small run on them ? And both will be saved on a cd for the cnc machine and I'll probably have few done in copper

I thought it tripped over the road.

Pls put me down for an aluminum sink for the 32mm triple Nitro.

I’m interested in 2 aluminum 32mm triple heatsinks

Im interested in a two triple`s, especially if you can sell them with optics.

I’ll take one copper 32mm triple heatsink

Thanks for posting the designs!

I’m in for 2 Al or Cu 32mm triple

I’m in for 2 Cu triple.

Ill talk to RMM on this once the sinks are done, if i can buy a bulk of optics from him and send with the order for the guys out of the united states that would save u guys lil $$ ?

Yupp. That is the idea. If Ill have to buy optics from some place where shipping costs $$ in, then the whole deal become less interesting. Id rather just get everything in on order. Easier and cheaper. Especially for everyone overseas.

Im not aware that RMM sells the ledl triple optics though. We are not talking talking about the small 20mm triple, but the "large" optics seen in post 35. Im not sure which optics offer the most range. But im interested in "range", since it will be quite floody anyway.

RaceR86 if u can find a link to the optic u want with max throw ect.... please post and i can order some when the time comes ?

Yup, it will save us a bit on separate shipping cost for the optics.

I think I recall reading that the ‘well’ the emitter is cut a bit shallower on the hosts and/or the stock lights than on the BLF-Special lights (cut deeper on the BLF-Specials to hold the copper board)? Might want to check the stock/non-BLF lights and host lights to be sure.
