Hi guys, my last purchase was a nice Brinyte Ed30, this from Aliexpress .
The torch can work fine with 1AA/2AA or 1x14500. I was very happy, but when I turned on for the first time I noticed a sort of buzzing at the tailcap. It was only in “low” and “medium” power. Both with AA or Lion. So, have write to the customer service, and that was the reply:
“Dear customer
Thanks for your require! The ”buzzing” is the voice of current, because the brightness at “low” and “medium” gear is controlled by frequency conversion, so there will be frequency vibration in the two gear of electric current.
If you have any further question, pls. feel free to contact us for help.”
On some cheaper lights, driver noise can be quite common at the head , but its not usually heard at the tailcap. For example my jetbeam bc 40 pwm controlled driver also buzz’s on low, but can only heard in a very quiet room.
Can you take the tail cap off and bypass the switch by jumping a wire between the - battery and the back of the flashlight tube and see if it still makes the noise?

So it’s at the head, and not at the tailcap. In the future, do you think it can be a problem? The driver can go “crack”?
Frequency is a broad term and I still have flashlight that buzz at the tailcap. It is irrelevant because there are many factors to amplifying a certain frequency. I got a flashlight which if I place it on it's head and on a empty box you can hear it from 3 meters whine quite annoying, like you never know what is going to happen.
The driver will not go "crack" for sure because of the audible frequency to the human ear. If the driver goes "crack" goes from other reasons.
