Ah…build it custom from the ground up
going to be a pretty penny then as NO two lights will be the same
However…if they can be made inexpensively and you guys maintain a profit enough to keep doing it…hells yeah!!!
If it has BLF on the body…I’ll buy some!

I’d love a titanium BLF designed host !!! Nice initiative, Rey.
My proposal:
-tube style 18650 light as thin and lean as possible (titanium is so strong that it allows for a very thin build), I think Olight Baton/Eagletac/DQG-brass sizes, really not bigger because then it would not add anything to what is out there already. Can they make a copper (or brass is even better IMO, easier, cheaper, and I lack the copper fetish ) pill that is part of the shell, like this Sinner design?:
I really like Sinner’s hosts (I own one), but I think what should be different is that his overall size is a bit too bulky, his material is thick, I like the lean-ness of Eagletac lights much more.
-standard internal sizes for versatility that allow: 14mm boot cap, 17mm PCB with small Omten clicky, 17mm driver board, 16mm led board, standard Convoy S-reflectors, 20mm lens.
+1 Need standard size for parts. Depend on price, I prefer if have knurling like Eagletac.

I’d be keen. I would love something along the lines of a tain Hyperlux but with a BLF twist. Also would be great if it used a C8 sized lens.

So, let’s see if I understand. You’re going to get a custom shell made (all of them will be the same) and then take orders for the innards. You will then produce individual custom lights (or have it done) that all look alike on the outside but are potentially very different on the inside. Is that correct?

The way I understand is this will be a custom made BLF Host. We will then fit what parts we want ourselves.
Which to me is ideal. The first thing I did with the X6 was strip the guts out and replace them.

Yeah, the description so far reads that way - except - the title says this:
Riddle me this: When is a host not a host?

Rey's contacts are thusfar China-based :-)
BTW, if, as the OP suggests this will be a BLF-designed light, is there someone on BLF with design-drawing skills/software who could incorporate ideas from members into an actual design, with dimensions and all? And talk about skills: he/she will have to withstand with mild humour and tranquility all the mayhem that comes with multiple-BLFmember input ;-) . (Krono is my hero!)

This is an idea.. its from CPF ;
I like this design.
maybe an AA version? (but we need to come up with some drivers that work well for AA cells)
but really, really, put those fins in the head , and if possible with slots for trits ..
if we want to go Titanium , it should be ready for possible upgrades..
if you have the fins at the head, and with those slots for trits.. even if you dont use trits.. at least you can add them anytime, and I know I would like some ;)

Sorry for my way of writing. Edited.
What I'm thinking is to have a Ti shell only.

I’d probably be in if it was 18650.

Truly said, expert on " Pro/engineer" or "CAD" is required here.

how about the cut outs for trits?
I really think they should implement that.. even if its not obvious for trits.
but imho it`s better to have some slots for them, in case people want to add them, machining slots later is not what most people want/can do.

All the previous BLF lights were small lights. Enough with the popcorn farts, bring on the big guns. J)

Big Ti could kill your wallet.
I would definitely be interested in a reasonably priced Ti host, 16340 or 18650 preferably and I agree with ChibiM, predrilled slots for trits would be awseome.

I’d like something similar in size to a C8 but in titanium. With a pill that can accept a 20mm star and 17mm driver with a deep driver pocket ~10-15mm and a thick shelf under the star.
