Review TrustFire TR-3T6 Triple XM-L T6 5-Modes Memory LED Flashlight (3x18650)

is that TrustFire TR-3T6 3800-Lumen?

Nope i dont think any of them including the dry, trustfire and the sky ray come close to 3800 lumens.

but you should know that as in your sig you have links to the same online shop.

looks like manafont sell a replacment driver for the TR-3T6

Triple T6 Cree Circuit Board Driver

it might work for the burnt out sky rays...

thanks ,i know that, tow online shop have same product, but price different。

ive been using my TrustFire TR-3T6 heaps and it is still going strong, been using it every night just about and last night we took it on another long bush walk spotting kangaroo,s and rabbits with my daughter on high all of the time.

today i tryed it on 6 AA Duracell 2650 mAh rechargeables i had to use all the extention tubes from the TR-3T6 3 x 18650 and my TR-1200 the current draw was 2.81 amps the batteries where fully charged and where 9 volt combined.

next to the torch is a 30 cm or 12 inch ruler to show the extra lengh it still felt solid, i could not notice any lose of light with my eyes and the torch still worked well but is close to the lenght of a 4 or 5 D maglite ? and could be use as a base ball bat lolls

LOL! Benckie, great stuff....

Perfect timing! My TR-3T6 I bought myself for my birthday came this morning, my birthday. :)

What an awesome light! The finish is great with no nicks or blemishes. Threads are perfect and smooth. All o-rings are the right size and seal nicely. The head is really heavy and takes a while to get warm compared to my other XM-L torches.

The one thing I'm disappointed in is a lack of o-ring for the lens. Does anyone know where I can get an o-ring (preferably GTID) the proper size for it? Did anyone else have that gasket on theirs?

Output, without a second TR-3T6 to compare directly too, seems to be the same with either 2 or 3 cells. For now I'm running it with only two but I can't wait for tonight when it gets dark! 8)

Johnny, mine didn't come with a lens gasket either. If you find out where we can get one, let us know. Besides that, it's a great light!

Happy B Day Johny Laughing

mine has a o-ring infront of the glass on the bezel and an alloy ring after the glass, then a o-ring on the head where the bezel screws onto the head and double o-rings every where else.

it is hard to see the o-ring infront of the glass as its tight but there is one there on mine, try looking hard between the bezel infront of the glass.

Will do! Hey, if this body & head is the same as a TR1200 then there has to be something out there. That body is common as hell and been out for a while. Even a Maglite gasket might fit!

EDIT: According to a Google search you can get the Mag-lite lens gasket at Advance Auto Parts for less than $1. I'm going to grab one next time I'm out. Reflectors and pills for the TR-1200 fit the Mags so the Mag lens gasket might fit the TR-1200 and TR-3T6.

I just looked and your right. It's very thin and hard to see without shinning a light on it. Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Johnny!

Thanks, Guys! I removed the lens retaining ring and sure enough, the lens gasket was hiding in the corner. That’s good news to me. I was able to properly tighten the retaining ring and all is nice and snug now. One thing I know I DON’T have is a gasket on the head where the bezel screws in. The groove is there but no o-ring. That’s an important one and I’ll have to find one somewhere.

And thanks for the B-day wishes, guys!! :)

Sweet. Thanks!

Well my TR-3T6 came yesterday (manafont) and despite being really good packaged in bubble wrap, cardboard box and bubble envelope it has lot of small nicks and bruises (mainly on head) and finish looks really delicate (far from x8)

On the bright side it works flawlessly, has really nice almost neutral white tint and it's seriously bright

On two fresh hi-max cells it draws around 2.4 A and 1.55 with three cells.

Hi there,

will it burn the driver if i would use 4*18650 batteries? ( with an extra extension tube )

best regards

You very well might. It’s only rated for three cells max.

i have the extra extension tubes but i have not been game to try it as they say 12.6v max i dont mind running it for long times, but i worry the extra 4.2v will burn out the driver.

Not sure why would you want to try 4S, there is not much benefit in doing so. Runtime with 3S is already pretty hardcore in low mode (the light is very efficient at those levels while still pouring out prodigious amount of light at say a campfire, more so than 1 single XM-L).

Eg, 420lumens from a single XM-L, 1.2A. But for 3 XM-L it is 495 lumens, for comfortably under 4 watts!

i was not going to mention this but it was brought up in another thread so i thought ill repost it here.

my wife and i have tested the TR-3T6 and the TR-1200 against my car head lights the TR-1200 will come close to the throw my car head lights but not enough spill to drive comfortable but the TR-3T6 does the job nice, even with the car,s high beams on you can still see the hot spot of the TR-3T6.

my car's high beams are 55 watt + 100 watt left and 55 watt + 60 watt right

my car's low beam is 55 watt left and 55 watt right

so the TR-3T6 must be bloody bright.

just incase any one is wondering i run an extra 40 watt of the left with my car high beams it helps light up the left side of the road to spot kangaroo's and in australia we drive on the left if some of our internation friend,s didnt know.

ive never mentioned this before as i though people would think i was crazy or being dangours but its good for a laugh and it shows it can be done in an emergency as i have had a thermal fuse blow in my car before and i could out run my head lights in my car for a few seconds at a time before they cut out, but if i had my TR-3T6 back then i could of easily driven home safely.

I'm thinking seriously about getting one of these... Which would you recommend?

Are all of these versions the same aside from the 2 or 3 battery configuration? I'm primarily concerned about build quality and brightness.

Thanks!
