It really depends on the seller, not the person who's arbitrating your case.
A case which I lost, but clearly should have won, was when I bought some replacement ink. Long story short, blacks weren't black, it showed clearly in the print-outs I took pictures/scanned, yet the seller "won". I had to send back the ink at my cost in order to get any sort of refund. The person handling the case was blind to see that the sellers' claims were not true.
The other cases, it was the sellers who capitulated when I told them they did something wrong like send the wrong item. I mentioned previously of when a seller sent me the completely wrong backpack and tried to fix it with sending me "$5-8 worth of goods" from his store. I basically told him to screw his offer and refund me half the cost of the bag and let me keep it. I didn't want to send the bag because they know that postage to them from other countries (US, UK, Australia, all of Europe) would not be financially feasible. So at the end of the day, when you've received the wrong order, the best outcome would usually be you keep the item with only a partial refund.

Packaging was great, everything came in a nice box to protect the item. Very clean — each came in its own sealed package. Very professional.
great posts, thanks for the effort put into this. With the rating system what is the difference between a jem, crown, and a medal? 5 jems = one crown or how does it work?

Downlinx, I see you’ve ordered from this seller. I’m also interested in 3rd gen. Ruixin sharpener from them. What postal service the seller used? Was it quick? I see some feedbacks mentioning quick shipping.
Thanks.
I see. That would be good news.
Not so good news is that the seller doesn’t stick to the advertised price. When I tried to pay the price increased about $3.50 and that’s not cool. I contact him and he’s like: “this price is for Russia, not other countries”, nothing else. But it doesn’t say anywhere in the details so. Not the best attitude. Eventually was able to order his slightly more expensive listing. I hope everything goes well because I guess that this seller isn’t good at solving problems.
So Convoy sent me a Gray S2+ instead of a black one. I started a dispute and Convoy said to ship it back. I escalated and AliExpress offered me a partial refund and I accepted. I then got an email saying “The seller has left feedback for your order.” Apparently that was Convoy banning me from buying from them as whenever I add a product to my cart, it says “This product is sold out or the seller discontinued selling this product.”
