OP updated thanks everyone

Received today from Simon a Convoy S3.

Shipped Nov 14, 2014 - Received Jan 15, 2015 in Russia.
Packaging was OK. Light was in its box wrapped in bubble sheet and put into a bubble envelop.

I recommend the seller.

Downlinx, I see you’ve ordered from this seller. I’m also interested in 3rd gen. Ruixin sharpener from them. What postal service the seller used? Was it quick? I see some feedbacks mentioning quick shipping.
Thanks.

The last time i bought from them, they were 2 diamonds, but they used netherlands post and i got my items in 2.5 weeks

I see. That would be good news.
Not so good news is that the seller doesn’t stick to the advertised price. When I tried to pay the price increased about $3.50 and that’s not cool. I contact him and he’s like: “this price is for Russia, not other countries”, nothing else. But it doesn’t say anywhere in the details so. Not the best attitude. Eventually was able to order his slightly more expensive listing. I hope everything goes well because I guess that this seller isn’t good at solving problems.

let us know how everything goes

For now I have a China Post tracking number from him. I’ll be able to tell more in about 4 weeks.

So Convoy sent me a Gray S2+ instead of a black one. I started a dispute and Convoy said to ship it back. I escalated and AliExpress offered me a partial refund and I accepted. I then got an email saying “The seller has left feedback for your order.” Apparently that was Convoy banning me from buying from them as whenever I add a product to my cart, it says “This product is sold out or the seller discontinued selling this product.”

I don’t know if anyone’s interested in small radios and such but I ordered one from www.aliexpress.com/store/526748 and the transaction went super smooth.

They accepted Paypal AND the order was also backed by Aliexpress’ guarantee.

They shipped immediately, sent a tracking number and I received it in 16 days from ordering to receiving it in Calif. Couldn’t be happier!

Anybody else notice now that all Aliexpress web links go to a Russian Aliexpress site?

It doesn’t for me. At least not on my mobile. I suggest clearing cookies for Ali.

@Gebe: “They accepted Paypal AND the order was also backed by Aliexpress’ guarantee.” Can you explain how this works? Last times I bought something at AliExpress and the seller accepted Paypal (sent me his adress through the message center) I could not finish my order process because only the usual payment options were available and if I do not choose one of them the order is not payed/completed. At which point in the process was it possible to choose Paypal officially?

Hi Antenne,
This was my first order from Aliexpress so I really didn’t know what I was getting into. I looked around on several of Aliexpress’ sites and found the item I wanted. I decided to order it. When I went to checkout, it listed Paypal as an option. I clicked on Paypal and of course it took me there. Everything went through without a hitch.

The next day I received an e-mail from Aliexpress itself, (not the site I ordered it from), thanking me for my order and explaining my order was protected by Aliexpress’ guarantee. So I had Paypal’s guarantee and Aliexpress’ guarantee and felt pretty good about that. 16 days later I received the item.

That was my experience and I guess maybe I got lucky? I don’t know.
