Convoy s4 & s6

I got them in the mail and less than 36 hrs later they were both broke! Luckily I have a solder iron close so I was able to fix them. The solder on the tail switch in the s4 broke loose, and I had to resolder the spring back onto the driver of the s6. Waiting for the next piece to fail! I have a s7 comming, hopefully it will outlive these. If I didn't know how to solder (which most people don't) I'd be pretty upset, but life goes on. Just had to post for future buyers searching the subject, 36hrs is not what I consider a quality product, maybe someone was just having a bad day when these were assembled?

Zoom..sorry to hear you had a problem. I have had and have several S2's, as well as gifted a bunch at Christmas. The majority get the crap knocked out of them and still keep on ticking :)

Where did you buy them from?

I have bought most of them directly from Simon's store on Aliexpress.

Oh not good…that sux, shoot a message to Simon and explain to him what went wrong…

Did you add a piece of wire on the tailcap spring (spring bypass mod) while you were in it?

Zoom zoom had the problems, bugsy36 did not.

Thank you for pointing that out Wight :) My fault for not using the quote function.

To be clear, I have never had an issue with any of the Convoy S lights.

A soldering iron and the ability to use it is a huge benefactor for you in your newly acquired addiction.

I find Chinese manufacturing fair to excellent in most cases, the assembly process is almost always lacking and that is where most failures occur.
