…and received!
What should i say? With the Dropin installed with very tight alumina-wrap in a SolarForce Gun-Metal-Grey host with SS-flat-bezel, mounted an AR-Lens, delivered from Hank, this really tiny sucker throws as far as a XinTD X3! I didn’t believe it and repeated the scenario tonight. Yes, unbelievable, this thing throws really as far as a XinTD X3 - Great!
What more could i say, i really love it!! Thanks Hank!
I don’t really need any MT-G2 right now, but I bought some on Noctigon because of the price. Now, where’s that Flashaholics Anonymous thread? I need help…
Ouch my wallet, woke this morning and first thing caught my eyes is MT-G2 on noctigon for $10… ordered 10 of them
not sure where to put them yet but for this price? I’ll find a host and driver for it ( should start looking for hosts from RMM)
Better than that would be if they did to MT-G2 what they just did with XP-G2/E2. They came out with a “new” XP-E2 Torch emitter that has the same output as a XP-G2, but in a smaller die size. Maybe they could make a single-die MT-G2 equivalent output emitter in XM-L2 die size! I know they already have XHP-50 and XHP-70 but those are quad die.
Since we’re speculating wildly here
I’d love a smaller or rather, a more tightly packed mt-g2 array die. That would be great, it’s all about minimizing those inter-die gaps.
But I think what we like so much about the mt-g2, primarily for me the nice even tint and decent output is mostly down to that multi-die raised array pattern of the emitter. I suspect a single die version the size of an XML would simply be an XML, if you get my drift?
I hope Cree will actually keep developing the MT-XX range and not just shift to quad die emitters to fill that requirement.
