WTB: RYOBI TEK4 FLASHLIGHT

WTB: RYOBI TEK4 FLASHLIGHT ……it is the 4 volt model sold at home depot……thanks

I remember seeing those tek4 devices a few years ago, they flopped and were sold on clearance, i found out after the shelves were bare so i have none to sell you, though the IR thermometer looked promising.

I have a couple of the tools I got as gifts and still have a couple of the batteries and would like a light to use with them.
And I hate and don’t buy primary batteries for lights so light with a rechargeable is very desirable.

I have the smaller of the two lights, and I really wish I would have bought the bigger one when I had the chance. eBay doesn’t even seem to have them. Weird.

I think that was one of the few items they still had in stock, however i believe its lumen output is poor. check ebay, most people probably don’t know the battery is just a single 18650 so once theirs died they probably gave up on it.

I think the bigger one is brighter and might be a good thrower, and the smaller one has a six hour runtime? I’ve heard?

Yeah got a drill set a couple years ago… tek4. Meh… drill was weak, and charger was horrible. Pretty worthless IMO…

Apparently i can order this in canada, though i don’t think its worth the price

Edit: its showing as out of stock

Yes I thought most of the tools were more like toys but the lights were interesting and I already have some batteries and chargers so the cost of a light I hope wouldn’t be too much.

If you had mentioned this a few years ago i would have bought you the flashlight for a few bucks
Interestingly a few places still have the basic charger for under $3, i wonder if i can put one of my bare 18650s in it.

Side note… I got into the green series tools and Li-ion batteries… such an improvement for Ryobi… 18 volt. The new 18v batteries work great and the old tools work on them as well… so good deal for the home owner.

Just put the 130 Lumen “green” lantern on high with a fully charged Lithium plus battery 18 volt … 11:30 pm Hawaii time… We’ll see how it is in the morning…

I have that light too, I have been waiting for Ryobi to put out a decent light to use with the powerful 18v li-on battery. The incandescent work light that has been out for many years is NOT bright or efficient. I think the new 18v lantern light will be great for power failures since it has a pretty good runtime and I have several 18v batteries.
