I was just thinking how great would it be if I could find some in-line mcpcb’s for this leds
This guys have many interesting boards for DIY but they either sale in 100+ pieces minimal order quantity or the DHL/Fedex shipping is 100+$
Yeah, if you are creative there are many thing that you can do with those leds:Back in 2013 i even moded my furniture spotlights with Cree XPE emitters- on Al boards, driven at 500ma
As a heatsink i used the spot body, the emitter`s PCB is glued directly on the spot`s metal back-pad
And they are working 24/7 since then, almost 1.8 years- have to measure the emitters degradation though…
Well, you can use Meanwell drivers, they are relatively cheap and extremely reliable
I used several of those in the garage, also in my home too
Or, you can build you own, accoarding to your need like i did in the garden( photoresistor + time relay controlled )
There are even good ones that you can find on Aliexpress
First you have to clear out your project details like the final goal and overall lumens needed plus lumen per a light spot/body- then its easy, there are drivers/controllers for nearly everything nowadays
I suggent for them not to be pushed above 700ma/ youll have 200lm per emitter anyway at that point - heatsinking will be an issue after that, also its cost
