I waited more than 2 months for batteries from FT. Put that way, they are SlowTech Opening a PP dispute won’t get you anywere because you have to open it 45 days after and that days have expired for you. They will ask you to wait which is very annoying, i feel your pain. I was going mad, too. But if you don’t get your orders, they will refund you (what i heard from other people) so no worries. I made few orders from them and everything went fine in the end.
It is true that other products come faster, even if they(FT) are, in my opinion, being the slowest one (with GB of course).
I suggest you to buy batteries from BG, they always come in around 2 weeks for me, which is a wonderful thing.
Yea I have an open ticket. Even gearbest and banggood get items faster to me. I’m talking about compared to non-battery orders. They all ship out in a timely manner, but for wherever reason, the shipping at fasttech typically takes twice as long. They have a good selection and prices, I want to use them, just dunno if I can continue when others use faster shipping methods.
It has been over 3 weeks and my batteries from BG are not here yet. Neither are my flashlights from BG ordered on the same date. Yet batteries ordered from a Chinese seller on eBay a week after the BG order just arrived yesterday.
Amen to this, StorminMatt. I have come to the conclusion that it may only be worth the wait when buying an expensive flashlight with a juicy discount code. For a couple of dollars savings on small stuff, it is not worth it for me.
Well, folks. Batteries from Banggood just arrived yesterday and flashlights are showing out for delivery due to be delivered today.
It took Banggood almost 4 weeks to deliver both batteries and flashlights to US. Not too long if the savings are good on an expensive flashlight such as AceBeam K40M selling today at BG Flash Deals like hot cakes half-price at $84.99. But when the savings are minute such as on cheap $3 flashlights available elsewhere, it is worth buying elsewhere. eBay orders from China usually arrive in 3 weeks to US from my experience.
If you have been unhappy with your order of an expensive item from SlowTech, you may want to try Banggood next time. 4-weeks wait surely beats over-2-month wait I am reading about above.
Everything I order seems to take 3 weeks to a month. This time I ordered some drivers 1/29/2015 and paid an extra $1.15 for quicker delivery. Let’s see how that goes. USPS Tracking shows nothing yet.
I’ve never been too impressed by Fasttech’s speed, but my most recent order takes the cake.
I ordered a few packets of silicone thermal cubes, one spool of desoldering wick, and two battery protection PCBs: Ordered Dec 10, shipped Dec 11 from Switzerland(?), Arrived in the last few days of January.
I wasn’t in any rush, and the order wouldn’t have been much money at twice the price, but no, no it wasn’t worth the wait. I ended up worrying about whether I should spend time making a claim on $6 worth of crap.
My single fasttech order:
2 shipments ordered on July 12, 2014.
Was split into two shipments…. 1st shipped on August 1st, 2014 and 2nd shipped on August 5th, 2014. NEITHER EVER SHOWED UP. Tracking numbers never made it past “Origin post preparing shipment”.
Waited months for customer service to reship. Again, they split it up into two shipments.
1st shipment sent out on November 14th 2014 and delivered January 12, 2015. Lucky for me, this had my batteries and the bulk of my order.
2nd shipment sent out on November 22, 2014 and has NOT BEEN DELIVERED and tracking number “Origin post preparing shipment”. Contacted customer service and awaiting reply.
Most likely won’t order from them again. It shouldn’t take 2 weeks to get a tracking number. And, it shouldn’t take months to resolve something lost in shipping.
I am surprised that anyone expect quick delivery without paying for any shipping costs at all. Especially when ordering batteries and shipping is via surface mail.
If you are in a hurry, pay for faster delivery using some courier service. Or buy locally.
I order all my li-ion batteries from FT, and while delivery has been slow, the latest orders 2-3 months, no shipments have ever been lost. And the batteries are very good and cheap. I don't see any reason to change supplier.
I have ordered some batteries form FT on the 4th of January they shipped them on the 5th of January with a tracking number.
The order still haven’t arrived jet (1 month later). I am also getting a little bit impatient.
But I have some good news. Pay Pal has extended there buyers Protection from 45 days to 180 days. (starting 29 January).
So now the question arises, would my order be covered by the new buyers protection policy?
Edit:
Orderd: 4 of january
Delivered: 21 February
48 days before it the order was delivered. In my option that is slowtech… Also with the old Pay Pal policy I could not make a claim if it didn’t arrive.
I placed my order 3 weeks ago and paid for “USPS First-Class +$1.61 (8 to 12 days in transit typical)”. It was processed a week after I placed my order and 2 weeks later it’s still in China getting processed again? WTF?
I remember the days when Fasttech was pretty fast. I have dozens of orders from them, and it takes anywhere from 10 days to 2 months to arrive, but recently, orders with a batteries included takes a much longer.
By the way, one package from Manafont still holds the record. After 2 month they issued me a full refund (some $60, they customer suport has been always great for me, too bad they are gone), and after 9 months the package suddenly arrived at my door
