Yes, having that light at home (got it defective for a few bucks, tact switch was loose, easy to repair) sort of feels like an obligation to mod it (custom driver board with dual switch firmware, probably based on lucidrv though), however it has low a priority on my list.

Any estimation on the actual realistic output lumens? They say 1198lm which considering china usual statements could be even be realistic? Or maybe 700-800?

Oh shoot.even though I already owned 2 of these, but at this price I might want to get another 2… as it is a solid light. Throws farther than a C8… and the output is easily bump up by simple resistor mod

Thanks southland, I think it’ll be useful for the venting test I’ve been wanting to do for a while.

The unprotected charging port makes it much easier to overcharge a cell and trigger a failure.

I got this CT9T from gearbest. It came without the logo printed on it. This is an upgraded version of the CT9T. It has a blue led light in the side button when the light is on or you put the light in standby with the side switch. This new version also has an improved centering ring that allows a lot more light from the led to hit the reflector. The old black centering ring appeared to block a lot of the Led light. The new centering ring is white and there is also a black outer piece that covers the solder joints to the main led star.

So, anybody here can confirm that there a “new” batch of Warsun flashlight, a sort of 2.0 version, with some improvement?
Well, the price of Banggood is hard to beat…but if you know something, can you please tell us?

I only register 1.85A at the tail using a samsung 25r battery. It has good throw and could use a little more output.

It means due to the Chinese New Year, they probably won’t process your order till the 22nd at the earliest. Take your typical China delivery time and add a couple weeks to it so you know when to expect it.
