I bought a light recently from a forum member, it had some type of optic in it instead of a lens and reflector. I don't know what it is or where to get another one, but I need to order a couple more. A friend said he really likes that there isn't a hotspot and it turns a tube light into an awesome work light, and I agree so I want one for one of my lights, as well as a light I'm building for my buddy.
The one I'm referring to specifically has rings on the top, made for a single emitter light, 20 mm and is extremely diffuse... But I'm also open to trying out other optics that might be available for single emitter and triple emitter applications.
Are there any good USA based sellers that offer different types of optics? I'd really prefer a U.S. based company just for the fact that I won't have to wait a month on shipping. If I have to I can order via snail mail, but I need to find a source.
