What light would you buy if Money was not an issue

So I was thinking…

What light would the experts buy if they won the lottery….

Criteria:

1. Money is no object

2. Stock form (Mods can come into play and can be part of the decision on why you buy a certain light ie. buying it because you can make it even better)

3. Something you will want to use regularly… Not something that is more novelty or mounted to a car or boat…. or so big it becomes a pain in the butt to use.

Ready set GO……

Sunlight.

Honestly? Right now it’d be the Crelant 7G3CS

I’m a cheap date.

Fortunately, you don’t need to win the lottery to buy great lights in this culture! They’re not that expensive, unlike cars, boats, and stuff like that. I’ve already bought most of the “expensive” ones that I’ve had my eyes on, so my stock light wishlist is pretty short.
If I suddenly had a ton of cash, I’d seek out a few rare Ti lights with high-CRI emitters, and spend most of my “light budget” on mods and modded lights. Maybe buy a TM36 to see what all the fuss is about… but mostly mods.

A McGizmo.

  1. The Nitecore P36 but have it modded (technically above my pay grade) so that the last three (three highest) of the 10 steps were higher plus change the temp power cut in point. h and swap the teflon spacer in the head to Copper.
  1. The TN36 xhp70 NW (maybe a few) but pull the top level down a bit (I know blasphmy). I would rather have the jump from the second highest behigher and the highest be lower (run time temp managment reality check). oh and ya it woud need some serious copper thrown in it.
  1. do I also get to have all my reflectors plated in rhodium, hey if women get their rings replated I figure I can get my reflectors done:)

Simple answer here for me:

Cool Fall Spy TriV

Jeff Hanko piece

You see, the issue is not money, but the lights we really really want are no longer being made.

I want a brand new Lummi RAW Ti with trits. When it was available I didn’t think that something this size could ever worth $250, but after 5 years with my RAW Al ($130), I realized no light can come close to it in terms of size, output, throw and build quality. I regret not going with the Ti version.

Eye10tic

Even sexier with tritium added

DITTO!

The new FL-33 with xp-l.

Just to see if it’s true….

I made a list of 67 lights - most of them throwers - that I would/will buy when the time is right. :-)

What is number 1 out of the 67?

If money was no issue I would buy the best CNC Lathe money can buy and just have you guys send me nice CAD files to feed it, if the design is good it would be 1 light for you and 1 for me, maybe even do design contests and the winner gets his light made…free!

All of them. All the lights.

Solid 24K gold custom light built by MRsDNF, would have a platinum bezel and tail cap end, maybe with some diamonds mounted on the head and tail cap. Would pay MRsDNF $20,000 for his labor. Would also have a custom driver built by , probably spend a grand or two on that.
