This is a 2500mAh cell will very high current rating. The 35A is a bit optimistic.










These curves shows a very good battery, there is a good tracking between the batteries and not much capacity drop from 0.2A to 20A, but the voltage drops significantly at 30A.















Conclusion

Usual a battery with unspecified cell will not get better rating than acceptable, but there is no doubt it is a very good cell that is used here.

noob question, are most IMR cells on the market manufactured by a few companies like Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and LG, most cells on the market are just rewraps?

I read efest manufacture their own cells…

The companies you list are the best LiIon manufacturer. There is also some Chinese LiIon manufactures, but their quality and specifications cannot match the above.

This means that the highest capacity and highest current cells will be from the above companies.

so there are lots of companies that manufacture their own cells, not just rewrapping them and resell them…

I do not believe so. The brands we see are probably all re-wraps, but the cell inside is sometimes from Chinese companies.

I am talking specifically on IMR batteries, I know about the LiIon and all the rewraps…

I do not believe that IMR is different.

Would it be fair to guess these are Samsung 25R cells?

If you see the top of the battery , you will see the top of the Samsung 25R.

Hallo everybody here. I am from Greece and i am glad to be here with you all .

HKJ's discharge curves of the Basen 18650 2500mAh and this cell match precisely, and the Basen is listed as a SAM 25R cell. Interesting the true branded Sam 25R tested (green one) seems to be under performing compared to this AWT and the Basen. The AWT's are available at FastTech, but the Basen's seem hard to find.
