I saw these for only $7.99 and figured I’d take a chance. Overall I’m not too disappointed for the price.

Now listed for $8.99
Looks like they where supposed to only be $3. Feel free to reimburse my paypal whenever you see this banggood…
Pros:
Cost
Fairly tight spot with a decent amount of spill
Relatively compact
Good heatsinking
Nice looking TIR
Cons:
Bent fins and scratched anodizing
Not waterproof
Mediocre LEDs (to be expected for the price)
Terrible mounts – no way to adjust angle of elevation which is a big minus on my truck
TIR looks pretty good
Lets see what we have under the hood
No o-rings or insulation gaskets present
I drew over the traces to make them a bit more obvious. 10.11 volts coming out of the driver
Nothing sealing up the back either
Driver is loose inside the housing. Has a few wraps of tape for insulation
MG20U201 and KB6N10
Came packed as you’d expect from china in the usual crumpled cardboard box wrapped in foam in a plastic bag, so I’m assuming they left the warehouse like this since the boxes where mostly in tact
Won’t matter much after the first time I drag them through some salt cedars. It matches the rest of the “character” my truck has developed
I tested them with a 7.2 amp hour SLA battery I had handy. My fluke 87 with stock leads read 12.08 volts at 1140 milliamps which works out to 13.77 watts before driver losses.
After a bit of testing I’ll take the money I saved on the lights and invest in a tube of silicone caulk. There’s no way they’ll survive years of rain and desert dust unsealed
More to come after it gets dark and I have them on the Suburban
I wear my sunglasses at night
Not a bad price for the case and optics, shouldn’t be too hard to do an emitter swap (if you wanted to). It’s a shame the mount isn’t adjustable.

Not worth the price and hassle of swapping emitters for me. I’m pleasantly surprised my how bright they are as is. I’ll probably fab something up to replace the stock mount.
Beamshots coming after dark. I’m on mountain time (gmt -7) so probably another 10 hours before I get anything up.
Looking forward to your pics.
Just found this one. Twice the price, but it has a better mount. I actually like how it looks quite a bit. If only I had a truck to mount lights on….

Giggity
I didn’t need that money anyways.
I might actually end up rebuilding my bumper today. I think I might just bend them to the right angle
I’ve seen that one as well, and thought about buying one for my father’s tractor, but if it isn’t waterproof at all, I might be better off buying something better. Any suggestions, someone maybe have tried another one?
Couldn’t get any good shots. Two of these led lights where about equivalent in throw and brightness to the high beams on my suburban.
Noticed a bit of light spilling out the back. I’m going to need a lot of epoxy
Still quite impressed for the price, but they could be so much better with a few minor tweaks
Haven’t mounted or wired them in yet. At least now they have somewhere to go.
