Yup, Yall Store, same $41 shipped. Blah, this thing very disappointing. :( Massive sag, on the order of 200 to 300 lumens in the first 3 minutes, starting at maaaaybe 700 lumens. Even doing the usual heatsinking and thermal paste did absolutely no good, waste of thermal paste. Oh well, on to the next light.
The TK70 is looking very tempting now. Anyone know where I can get 1 for around 40 bucks? :p
KD also sell a 3 x xml with the drop in thats screws into the bezel not the head...
Well if you think you got a item not as described and you don't file a dispute and escalate it to a claim then that is on you. I would contact the seller first and tell him this is what you are going to do. There shouldn't be any excuse to be hooked off ebay anymore. Paypal has protected me and sided with me lately anyway. I did get screwed years ago for almost $300. I got no help from ebay or paypal. But now they are a lot better and you are protected from bad sellers. Use their services. You will see I am right.
if the seller does not help as he will say thats how i got them how would i know and im dont think they will send them all back to the suplier and reship the geniune lights and you make a paypal claim they will make you send it back and provide a tracking number so either way you will be out of pocket..... and some time, this will realy hurt international buyers as you will find it will cost to much to return... oftern alot more then you payed for shipping i think some sellers relie on this.
an unproven link worked well once again in the quest to save a few more bucks 28 have been sold this thread bosted alot of there sales of a fake, so any one who did not get a geniune Trustfire TR-3T6 2 x 18650 i would leave negitive feedback of some sort stating they are not geniune to ward off any more sales it might help others not make the same mistake ?
most stuff on ebay is cheap or cheap copies and or drop shipped i do use ebay alot for brand name rc items or connectors to make my own leads and charging box,s or clear 18650 box,s for storage, but the last 5 or 6 torch related items ive been realy disapointed with the items and ive had to settle with the seller for partial refunds as if i make a paypal claim, they make you return the items and return international postage is just a killer, for local buyers it will be cheaper just take some time to complete the process.
just my thoughts
Nope. If item isn't as described, and you escalate dispute to a claim and paypal sides in your favor then it is up to paypal if they choose to ship the item back in which they won't overseas and they pick up the shipping charges. They give you your money back in your paypal account and they get their money back from the seller that you sent payment too. If seller doesn't agree to pay them back in so many days then paypal automatically deducts it from their account. If they try and close their account then paypal will watch for this and then grab it from their account beforehand. They will get their money back one way or the other. That is part of the fine little print and restrictions that they have.
And you probably will get to keep the item. I have done this before on items not as described and bought overseas.
im not going to argue with you but yes paypal does make international costomers send items back i know of this first hand more then once its happended to me, paypal will not pick up the return shipping cost the buyer does, even the ebay listing says clearly the buyer pays return shipping and by buying you have agreed to the terms and conditions.
your not going to get a full refund and get to keep the torch think about it, then any one who brought an international item can make a bogus claim keep the item and get there money back, paypal will make you send the item back, you will be out of pocket for return shipping cost.
if what your saying is true was true i would order a few cheap torch,s or a few tex600,s make a claim keep the torches or helies and get a full refund and then resale them on i could make a 200% profit and keep a couple for my self.
this thread shows up if you search the TR-3T6 on google so it avilible to all the internet not just forum members, i feel sorry for the people who brought the fake now a good torch will get a bad rep, but this thread should slow it down now.
Well I won't argue with you either, but you need to read this.
10.1 Your Liability.
If you do not want to allow PayPal to reimburse eBay for your liability, you may opt-out by calling eBay at 1-866-643-0898. Your opt-out will be effective within 3 Business Days. If you opt-out then eBay will not use your Account to recover amounts that you owe due to an eBay claim that you lost. This opt-out will not affect other amounts that you pay to eBay using your Account (such as your eBay fees).
10.2 Reimbursement for Your Liability. In the event that you are liable for any amounts owed to PayPal, PayPal may immediately remove such amounts from your Balance. If you do not have a Balance that is sufficient to cover your liability, your remaining Balance (if any) will be removed, your Account will have negative Balance up to the amount of your liability, and you will be required to immediately add funds to your Balance to eliminate the negative Balance. If you do not do so, PayPal may engage in collection efforts to recover such amounts from you.
10.3 Actions by PayPal - Restricted Activities. If PayPal, in its sole discretion, believes that you may have engaged in any Restricted Activities, we may take various actions to protect PayPal, eBay, other Users, other third parties, or you from Reversals, Chargebacks, Claims, fees, fines, penalties and any other liability. The actions we may take include but are not limited to the following:
We may close, suspend, or limit your access to your Account or the PayPal Services (such as limiting access to any of your Payment Methods, and/or your ability to send money, make withdrawals, or remove financial Information). Use the Report Form link to request information in connection with an account limitation, hold or reserve – to access the Report Form:
We may contact Users who have purchased goods or services from you, contact your bank or credit card issuer, and/or warn other Users, law enforcement, or impacted third parties of your actions;
We may update inaccurate Information you provided us;
We may refuse to provide the PayPal Services to you in the future;
We may hold your funds for up to 180 Days if reasonably needed to protect against the risk of liability or if you have violated our Acceptable Use Policy;
We may take legal action against you; and
If you violate the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, then in addition to the above actions you will be liable to PayPal for the amount of PayPal’s damages caused by your violation of the Acceptable Use Policy. You acknowledge and agree that $2,500.00 USD per violation of the Acceptable Use Policy is presently a reasonable minimum estimate of PayPal’s actual damages considering all currently existing circumstances, including the relationship of the sum to the range of harm to PayPal that reasonably could be anticipated because due to the nature of the violations of the Acceptable Use Policy, actual damages would be impractical or extremely difficult to calculate. PayPal may deduct such damages directly from any existing Balance in the offending Account, or any other Account you control.
PayPal, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to terminate this Agreement, access to its website, or access to the PayPal Services for any reason and at any time upon notice to you and payment to you of any unrestricted funds held in custody for you.
10.4 Actions by PayPal - Holds.
That has happened to me twice and I kept the item and received all of my money back due to item not as described.
And if this seller is in fact selling counterfit items and you prove it then yes you will get a full refund plus shipping costs and get to keep the item.
yes i have read that just then and ive read it before, but i stand by my comment paypal will make you send the item back and you will have to pay return shipping as agreed when you clicked buy now on the sellers listing, the buyer pays for return shipping. you still will be out of pocket for return shipping as thats how it is 99.99r%
you dont get full refunds cause you have to take into account return shipping and you dont get to keep the item, you have to pay postage back once a valid tracking number is provided then you will get a refund, but your still out the retun shipping cost im my personal experince with such a thing from both ends as a seller and a buyer, i used to be a power seller on ebay and i buy lots of rc stuff.
some thing back is better then nothing, most times no one does anything, your much better off sending back and getting a refund minus your shipping cost if your unhappy, but internationaly this can be costly.
i hope every one gets all there money back and gets to keep the light aswell and i hope they buy a geniune one to compare it with from the refund.
i personaly dont think the usa seller is making the light as it would cost to much in the usa to make a copy of it, im sure they just brought a heap from a china or hong kong seller but im only guessing.
its not your fault ilikeflashlights as you didnt sell the light and the seller might not of known.
But if you win by claim you don't pay shipping back is my point.
not always true
ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS and Benckie
Thanks for all the advice. This is one of the things I love about this forum is the discourse and ideas that fly around. I have sent the seller an email informing them of the issues with this trustfire copy. I will keep ya'll informed as to the answers if any that I get. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction to resolve this.

Let us know how it turns out. And again I apoligize for posting this since it led you to apparently a world of heartache.
Man i just got another POS flashlight from ebay too. A fake @ss romisen rc-c6 . A clone of a chinese clone <<<<< can't get worst than that. It's like the poor taking money from the poorer.
No wonder they could never dominate the world even though their population is 1/5 of the earth; but they keep on trying, never come up with their own idea, love to steal people hard work ...SAD
And i'm not being discriminate either. Fact is a fact
Paypal and ebay now work together to keep buyers happy. More times than not the buyer sets the stage so to speak on the outcome of events. If the buyer ain't happy, and if seller continues to piss people off with what they sell then ebay and paypal are going to know about it. It's your job as a buyer to follow through with the process of not letting bad beat sellers continue to get by with this game. If you do nothing and just leave good feedback, then your the one to blame for playing a losing game. I personally used to hate paypal and ebay. But I can say now for certain that both have changed the way they do business. And it doesn't hurt to call paypal directly and speak with one of their representatives about your case. That's what I do. I show them that I am the one telling the truth by cooperating with them and telling them the whole story along with presenting them the information necessary to prove I am right. Doing this will also speed up the process tremendously for getting all of your money back including shipping. They want you to leave a bad deal just like you were before you found it. That's their philosophy now.
And the whole ordeal whether or not paypal has you ship the item back to the seller will be based on the cost of the item and warranty information that the seller may be entitled on his behalf to obtain by getting reimbursed is only my guess. But I doubt very seriously if paypal will have you eat this shipping if they want to continue to keep you as a customer with the right way of doing business mentality that they now have. Same goes for ebay which owns paypal.
I as of yet have not received my "fake" 3t6, the people who have it can you please post pictures of the light proving it is truly a fake? Thanks
Drop-in screws into the bezel and not the head. Tail cap draw of 1.78A on high 1.20 on medium and .67 on low.
That should be enough evident to see that it's not the same as the TR-3T6 from manafont that i have.
Here are some pictures, sorry for the quality this is my phone.
No that is not damage to the bezel, the finish is that shiny!
