What 50mm/2'' approx. Head for L2P

I have a M3 head with a XPL v3, on a Solarforce L2P with 2x18650 works great :bigsmile:……out to 200 yds.

nice hot spot with plenty/great spill.

I am after a bigger head to reach out a little further……

what would you BLFers suggest to fit another L2P l have also with extension ?

this light would be scope mounted at times……hence keeping Head to about 50/55mm

but not 63mm size .

l have a Crelant 7G5.v2 for scanning for reflected eyes……its about 63mm and

to big for scope mounting especially with a 50mm+ scope bell.

The A60….l only seem to be able to find old reviews

Does anybody know thiscurrent light…seems the older ones threw a very tight beam,

l need throw and some spill….are these current A60’s easy to mod, have solid pill ect ………ext for 2x18650

or another 50/55mm that may suit.

Has anyone tried de domed xm-l2 or xp-l in a solarforce m3 head with 2x18650

Look for the original Masterpiece Pro-1 MPP1 made by SolarForce, still the best “thrower” they made, IMO.

If you like the M3, I’d be tempted to look at de-doming that XM-L. It should make a marked difference to it’s throw.

De domed M3 how far would it reach…….? would it make 500/550yds…?

M3 is great out to 200yds but need to reach to about 500/550yds

looking at 50/55mm head so l can scope mount now & again

M3 is great for .22 lr. but need more for the centerfire’s, hence 2’’ head required

& 2x18650 for extra output……

l have a Solarforce host spare so a head that would fit it would be great……but l

am open to other options….can do basic mods.
