Shadow JM35: MT G2 one one cell!!

Thanks for posting this, been looking at the JM30 but this looks better. Now we just need a better price and discount code, Banggood

I would like to see that to, but I donā€™t own a PD40 so . . . . .

Why not in a tube light you ask? Well, a tube light might not appeal to everyone and if the Led gets warm a bigger head with more cooling fins will be abel to dissapate the heat much better that a tube light.

Having said that, on the German forum (TLF) several mods of tube lights with MT G2 have appeared.
These lights are a lot of fun and have a hughe WOW factor but they are defenitely not suitable for the average flshlight userā€¦ā€¦

Definitely Beamshots comparisons!

3 mode S6. I also have one direct drive. Great lights

iam just waiting, which model will be the smallestā€¦with mtgā€¦something like convoy i would like to get.
now we have time to wait to a new harvest of the new generation of flashlitesā€¦iam hungry for surprises:))
chinese-hurry up:))

already working on that

Aren't those websites run by the same person? Ric. I don't know I am asking.

yep.. same!

Iā€™m curious if this can run on 2x26650 using the JM30 Ext. tube.

I emailed CNQG for answer.

Iā€™m not. I specifically like the short version that runs on only one cell.
Compact, side switch, plenty light, decent cooling fins, just neat.

And it will defenitely NOT use the same driver as the JM30, because that one can only run an MT G2 on two cells, and it doesnā€™t have a side switch.
Still, the JM35 MIGHT run on two cells but I am not going to test that, risking a dead driver.

Maybe someone with the right knowledge and equipment can do that? Djozz maybe?
Iā€™ll ask him when I have the lamp.

Uuh, don't know how to test a driver on two cells and not risk killing it.

That would be great, i would buy that kind of a FL definately

And 10x again for your efforts m8, i use your codes frequently

+1

For whoever is interested.

A few weeks ago I bought this driver to see if it will power an mtg2 from 1 cell.

Initial test was a success. A few weeks later, I see kd have a range of xhp drivers based on the original one I bought.

Is this the same driver?

US $10.71 / piece

I think yes, they are all drivers from Fei Long, the specification looks interesting but not sure about their stability though.

For one thing the driver is too large for most lights, which is 26mm in diameter.

I also like the short version with one cell for pocketability, however I thought it would be nice to also have the option of running 2 and 3 cell configuration for extended runtime, and for when I donā€™t need to pocket it.

Looking at the JM30 photo below, it seems a little too short in hand with the large head it has.
Mainly I want the side switch, too bad the JM30 doesnā€™t have a side switch.

without the extension tube is too short in my opinionā€¦

nice size!

Also wish this had knurling instead of the ribbed design, love me some good knurling.

Like Shadow used to do.

I got the very nice looking Shadow JM26 some months back. Also bought driver for the DQG Tiny. With that driver, I was able to put the MT-G2 into the JM26 and run a single 26650 to the big emitter. Very nice light, and yes, unique running a 6V emitter off a 4.2V cell.

Very quickly became a favorite.

To me that looks more appealing than the jm35. What is the beam profile like?
