New: Noctigon Meteor M43 ; in production New color added: Tan

Ok, I lied. I’ll upload runtime tests as I do them, even though I’ll speed them up a bit more and integrate them into my main review. I plan on also doing a runtime test on Turbo with some Sanyo UR18650FM 2600mah batteries… just for the hell of it… The light is recommended to use the LG high drain batteries… but the Sanyos didn’t do so bad. When I get both of them rendered I can watch the videos side by side to make an accurate assesment of how the batteries perform during this test

Ok here is turbo with the Sanyos.

Good Day mhanlen,

Great & Useful videos.

Thank you Very Much,

George

Nothing like a run time test with a couple of different batts. Thanks for the real info!

Having just watched the two videos side by side above… it seems the winner in runtime at least is the Sanyo by about 10 minutes. Plus is seems to have a much nicer taper off in brightness. I can’t say side by side which was brighter initially though.

And I happen to have around a hundred of those Sanyos..... But there laptop pulls.

I doubt they would last that long.

Thank you for the review!

Thanks for the videos!

My stone white xp-g2 s2 dedome just shipped. Now the real wait begins.

And another runtime test on High 1… Sorry I know these are boring, but I had some people mention I should have a slightly longer version to better appreciate the drop in brightness. They’ll be sped up considerably in the final review.

Hey mhanlen, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the video footage sped up around 50x, not 5000x? Seems like one video second corresponds to just a little less than one real minute.

Thanks for the shots though, they provide a very nice runtime & brightness comparison.

In Final Cut Pro, in the speed, I put in 5000. Is that not 5000x? Maybe it’s not interchangeable if 100 is full speed. Or would it translate to 500x?

5000% / 100% = 50x

120minutes compressed into 2 minutes is 60 times faster.

Mathematics :)

Yep I get it! It was more a transcription and assumption error… I didn’t do the math. And had I done it, it still would have been incorrect. My apologies to the rest of humanity who can do simple division.

Hank makes a new light, my bank account is divided, my shelf space is divided, my marriage is divided, the dog house is divided, so with one simple purchase I’m 4X better off. (worse off?)

Hey Dale.. at least your dog will keep you warm.. or maybe your EDC will keep you warm,

either or.. you will be able to use your lights more often now you sleep in the dog`s house.

Working on building shelves in the dog house, might need to do an expansion…

And run power for the Xtar chargers. I don’t mind sharing his water bowl but his food is atrocious! (scratch, scratch, scratch…behind the ears, oh yea, right there…)

hahaha... solar panels, all the way!

reminds me of a ditty I heard on marriage:

marriage doubles your joys
halves your sorrows

and quadruples your expenses!

Ah, that makes sense, thanks for the clarification.
