New: Noctigon Meteor M43 ; in production New color added: Tan

Is it just me or are others putting two and two together and thinking the new XPL -HI emitter would best suit this torch? I mean you would not have to change the optic to fit it (I am guessing). And you will get all the lumens you could throw at it 9000? Many this torch should be stopped now and hank and whoever should wait and see what happens with that emitter

The Meteor already has the dedomed XP-L option, and because the leds are run within Cree specs (I hope for an improved out-of-spec performance for the HI), the new led will not perform that much better than dd-XP-L 's. But the tint could be improved with them.

Hy,

our Sample (Nichia, dark grey) arrived last monday and the first review on the TLF is now online: Here the Google-translated Version: Review Noctigon Meteor M43

0 in stock!

you guys gotta hang of it..

Chibi, Hank pulled the available stock number to 0 while they build these original orders to ship. He was getting overwhelmed and had to freeze it for a minute to get caught up.

ah.. got it.. must be a tedious work! now waiting for the Apollo ;) just teasing you Dale!

Excellent review Kenjii! Thanks for your hard work on that. With every review I see, my anticipation to receive my meteor grows!

I’m tempted by the monster output in a tiny light, but the UI would drive me crazy, so I have no plans of buying this one. That’s good news for my wallet!

Klasse Review!

Thx

Kind of all other LEDs fail comapred to the Nichia 92CRI tint.
But it looks like your images are too saturated overall. I mean looking at the room image with the painting I can see heavy blue on the walls, which seems exaggerated and there are some color casts around there too, like the yellow color that it is in the top side.

Just got my Stone White Meteor!!!

It’s not white, it’s a hard anodized natural finish aluminum that looks bead blasted maybe? And it’s freaking gorgeous! The XP-L2 S4 2B emitter puts out white light. White. Not blue/white, not green hued, not orange or brown or rose or…… white. PERFECT!

Absolutely LOVE IT!

Very fast shipping, stoked on this overall deal. Thank You Thank You Thank You! (to everyone even remotely involved in making this happen)

Congrats Dale!

How long till we can expect your beamshots?

Not dark yet, so no need to sit on the edge of my seat, I reckon - Yet!

Thanks Dale,
-Chuck

hank wrote me that the free royal mail upgrade is not possible for Austria…

DHL would cost extra (he offered generously to split costs) but DHL always goes over customs (which is about 50 to 70 usd on top)

so I had to stick with slow mail aka singpost :frowning:

can’t wait to get mine!

I guess that’s what happens when lots of people comment on what a deal this light is in comparison to the competition!

Fortunately I received shipping notification for a stone white S3 3D this morning.

Ok now I am even more excited for my stone white meteor. I’d love to see a photo, as it seems every review involves dark grey meteors and other than the pics on Hanks site, I haven’t seen a white one. I’d love to see more photos, as I am sure shipping will take another week or two for me here in Canada.

mhanlen, after seeing your review it would be a crime of capitialism if they did not send you one gratis (after they get caught up with demand of course) oh and BTW did they get officially “overwhelmed with demand before or after your review came out?”

very interesting.

um, guys…. there’s something wrong here. Didn’t Hank say the XP-G2 S4 2B made like 6900 lumens? Actually it says it right on the box. BUT, I just got a 23,100 meter reading in my light box, which translates out to 7,969.5 lumens! 4 new Efest Purple 35A button tops on board. Rested, not even freshly charged.

The box says it’s XP-G2 S4 2B at 5700K, and that’s what the beam tint looks like to me as well. Interesting. Surprising. Very pleasantly so…

Dale, are you serious?

Let’s just say it’ll be a while before I get my very own.

Random question: I have 4 of these batteries kicking around…how would they handle this application (meteor)? Thanks to anyone who can help answer!
