I gave a few pig ones to a policeman pal who took it quite well.... Never did get him to take them to work though.

And my dentist who is going nuts at all the piggy stuff people give him. I think it was a craze of his daughter's year ago so the whole lot got moved from the house to the surgery.

i ordered $50 of lights over a week ago and have not had any reply from them atoll

only from pay pal to say they have taken payment

Hmmmm, that's not too good. Try the live chat support. It's available most days, but obviously we all live in different time zones so it can be hard to reach them when they're online.

my order arrived from FP today, delivery is pretty quick unfortunatley not so impressed with the condition it arrived in! all in all I ordered 14 lights but only 12 in the package all stuffed into one very thinly padded envelope. Almost all of the boxes were damaged upon arrival when ordering such amounts from the past from other vendors it is usally been put in a box or very well wrapped with lots of bubble wrap, there was no bubble wrap at all in the package from FP.

This is my first dealing with this vendor and not very impressed as there was no invoice to confirm what I ordered and no email communication to say order recieved or despatched.
I have emailed FP and I am awaiting a reply. I am quite happy with what does work.

i will do when i have a bit more time to look at them

so far i have only had a good look at the 3 that should have the buckle clip

they look the poorest quality of them all but still ok for for the price although they shine bluer than a smurff

i will give these to my 3 young nephews they wont mind the blue they will think it cool Cool

will let you know about the others later i will post in the AA & AAA sections

My only order - of a real cheapy light arrived in the good end of the usual time range in good condition. No complaints here. Especially considering I spent less than $3.

well to all who say FP is a good company i disagree

i have had no reply to my emails regarding the 2 faulty lights / the 2 lights with missing parts or / the 2 lights missing from the order

out of 14 lights i ordered only 8 are in the condition they should be i will send one more email and if things are not rectified i will take it up with pay pal

They are not serious.

If you receive a defective product, FocalPrice staff will say that you have to pay 1,70 USD for tracked mail to receive a new one

If you dont pay tracked mail, they will lie you. They will say that they ship a new one but they never to that. And you will be opening tickets during 2 months asking what happens and they will say always the same "wait a week more, is delayed by an unknown reason"

That happend to me. Also for more people. If somebody dont beleive me, I can post the transcription of the more than 2 months conversations I had with them. Also I did a veery negative review on reselleratings.com

FocalPrice = not legit people.

I will not buy them any more.

And there is another site which is going to have the same reputation in a few days..........

Just received my second Focalprice order. The three cheapo flashlights arrived in working condition, but the packaging left a lot to be desired. The box of one flashlight was totally destroyed, and it wasn't bubblewrapped, and the metal carabiner was scraping against the flashlight body. Nice lights though.

Both of my FP orders shipped out of their warehouse quickly enough, but shipping time was very slow. They use Hong Kong Post, which is usually a tad bit faster than this to my post office.

Pros:

  • Customer support is pretty good, in my experience. I have about 40 orders with them, including some highish value items. One RMA (watch arrived DOA so being a long-time DX customer, I sent them high-resolution pictures and a video as evidence; after the usual back and forth (find someone to fix it locally, etc), they asked me to cover the tracking number and promptly send me a replacement) and more recently a no-show order (around $19 worth of flashlights I ordered two months ago, no tracking number, was asked to check with post office and then offered a $19 coupon valid for any $20+ purchase; response was quick, friendly and helpful). If you make a convincing business case, they will also work with you to get stuff from Chinese wholesale suppliers (with an acceptable markup).
  • Prices mostly comparable to DX. Selection is more limited but still pretty good, especially if you look outside the flashlight category. Often a bit quicker than DX to get stuff out the door but after that your package is at the mercy of HKP's logistics operation so either way, it's pretty much a lottery.
  • Edit: One of the things I always liked about FP is the little chart icon next to some item's price. If you have JavaScript enabled, hovering over the icon will display any recent changes in the item's price. Granted, knowing that something you want used to be a buck cheaper isn't going to help you but I still think it's a nice touch.

Cons:

  • Website appears overloaded ("Service unavailable", images not loading or not loading properly even on a fast connection, frequent timeouts)
  • Customer loyalty (aka points) system is overly complicated and pretty much worthless (349 points get you $5 off any $100+ order and they frequently run promotions with coupon codes right there on their homepage that are usually better, eg. right now it's $2 off $50+ and $6 off $100+)
  • The "deal of the week" usually isn't all that great. Sure it's 70+% off the MSRP but more often than not, they sell the item for close to the "deal of the week" price anyway so you're really just saving pennies, if that.
