light similar in size to Solarfoce L2

Looking for a light similar in size to Solarfoce L2.
1” body, clicky switch, single 18650 battery.
With a bigger head, not a P60 drop in style.
Around 1200 lumen OTF
Roughly the size of a Solarforce L2 body with a Solarforce M3 head. That would be perfect
But the M3 beam is to tight, The K3 beam is nice but the heads bigger then I want.
I can’t do the mods myself but know someone that might do it for me.
hope that made sense.
Suggestions please

Sounds to me like you’re looking for a Convoy M2. Get somebody to put in a Q-lite driver and an XM-L2 in a 3C/4C tint and you’ll never look back.

I’m intrigued by the prospect of trying larger heads on one or two of my Solarforce lights. I currently own sixteen of them, so far, and I love them. Everything I have has been running on a P60 drop-in of one sort or another, and in numerous different tints; but I’m willing to experiment with other options. I’ve discovered a new love or neutral tints, for many applications (especially photography).

Any chance we could see an outdoor beam shot of this M2, with the Q-lite driver?

The current Solarforce line-up (all standard P60 heads, so far, anyway)

I already have a Solarforce M3 (being modified to about 1100Lumens) so that’s how I know it’s the perfect size on the L2P body.
The beam is just to narrow.

Nice collection you got there

I’ll look into the Convoy M2
After a little searching the Convoy M1 might be a contender also.
Both will need some mods to get the lumens up

K3 head?

Thanks! I read a little bit about the M3. Looks like a pretty nice light. If you would be so kind as to post any pictures you can, after you receive the newly modified M3, and have had the chance to put it through its paces, I’m sure we’d all appreciate seeing them!

The Convoy M1 and M2 are great lights. The M1 is almost the same size as a p60 L2, but with better thermal management due to not being a p60.

The Convoy supplied 2.8amp driver is plenty IMO. Brighter will only mean lots of heat and short runtimes.

Of course I’m not saying that more lumen isn’t good. But in reality probably not needed.

And I suspect most p60’s don’t really put out more lumens, as they’d need to be running much higher amps, which would mean loads of heat.

How bout a C8 ?

Okay, I’m looking at the M1 and C8 now.
I think the C8 is about as big as I wish to go for this light
Tossing some ideas around with my flashlight guru
I can get the host from RMM then build to my specs.

Thanks

update:
My guy says the SF M3 and Convoy C8 are very similar throwers.
And since I already have the M3 I don’t need a duplicate light.

Surprised no one has mentioned eagle eyes X6. here
You can find plenty info about BLF X6 by searching.

I’d like to hear about your M3 modes as well. I’m considering getting a large head for my Solarforce flashlights. I have been thinking about putting a XP-L in the head or maybe a couple of XM-L2’s but for the price I may go with something totally different like a TrustFire Tr-3T6 Cree XM-L 3*T6 3800LM and maybe up the LED’s to XM-L2’s. So I would like to hear what you have done. Thanks

UPDATE
Got the tools I needed and did the build myself.
Convoy M1
XM-L2 U4 1C
Qlite driver, added two chips to 3.8 amps
Three mode.
Potted
Looks pretty good, Just finished it up.
A big thanks to all the guys that helped me through all my PM’s
