Ok , I got the light plus the claw [ Carbiner to some ]

Here is what I got , the gift box , Claw , spare clicky - lens , and 3 split rings , oh and not forgetting the light .

I have to admit , it is a slender flashlight .

The above picture shows the lens retaining ring lose , just so you know its there ...

Installing the split ring was fun ... Not !

One way to carry it , attached to keys possibly ...

And a group shot ...

Ok lets move onto performance shall we ...

AA Nimh cells

All Nimh cells pulled right around 1A , and I measured some 57 to 58 Lumen ... [ 5 cells tested ]

Alkaline Cells

Here things get a little more interesting , lowest current measured was 0.42A and highest was 0.46A and I got a very consistent 57L output

Lithium Cell

Now here it gets better again , 0.37A and some 57L output

So whats going on , obviously the light is well regulated , and is doing its best to maintain output .. The Nimh cells had the lowest voltage range , from 1.29v to about 1.31v , the Alkaline's were some 1.57v to 1.61v .. and the lithium's resting voltage was 1.71v or so ...

I dont know if this light is 10440 compatible , and wont risk such ...

The build quality looks to be excellent , the one I got , WARM and I mean WARM tint , not incan warm , but certainly on its way ..

Light will tail stand , unless you put the split ring in place . [ Which I did ]

Clicky is very solid - no issues

Nicely Machined

No battery slop

No PWM I can see

The Claw - Wow really well made , I hope you ordered one !

BLF Edition - wow hard to see the text - stealthy

Beam quality - I would rate excellent

No buyers remorse on this one

Its just a real nice light , but what it needs is a clip , dont get me wrong , it works as a keyring light , but a clip would make it a pocket light ...

Even though its stainless steel , its not that heavy , in fact surprisingly not so ..

A solid thumbs up on this one , and I cant see any reason not to give it 10 out of 10 , Im trying real hard to mark it down , but simply cant find any reason not to give the light full marks ... [ Damn ]

Thanks for sharing old4570, It does seemed a lil long compared to the Maratac, lovely light.

I knew you'd be the first to review! Thanks!

I can barely see the lettering in the group shot (the only one you used flash w/). You got a better view of it by chance?

How does it feel in the pocket w/o the claw? Hopefully unnoticeable!

Old4570 how are you getting lumens measurements?

Thanks.

Thanks for the review and photo's! I hope engraving wasn't much of a factor in cost :P haha

I might have to get one and I might be the one to take the risk with a 10440 :D

Length is good for a Clicky torch. The maratac is a twisty, so thats automatically a 5-10mm saving there.

did 1.5K walk , and yes , went un noticed in the pocket ...

Lumen measurement VIA light box ... [ take it as a better than rough guide ]

Sorry camera cant focus that close .. [ No macro ] There is a better shot here https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/3793?page=2#comment-76589

That's true, perhaps its slenderness made it looked longer than it should.

How was your fit between the body and the tail? I have a notable lip on mine since the diameters aren't exactly the same.

I'm curious if it's just luck of the draw, or they're all like that.

Thanks Old. Glad it went unnoticed. I guess Ima have to order!

And devman, it does look like your tailcap is a hair wider than the body. I wouldn't mind that since I plan on inside pocket carry. It might be easier to find the clickie end from the extra width (or lip I should say) w/o having to actually look at it or feel for the clickie.

I want to know how you got yours so quickly. Where is mine?

Easy, man. When you're a real addict, you cheat.

I'm visiting my girlfriend in HK again, so it was actually shipped by a local courier instead of HK post.

Thanks for the review. Looking forward to getting a NW and CW here soon.

Great review! Quick question though, how did you get the lens retaining ring out? It looks to me as if there is nowhere to unscrew it or anything..

I need a girlfriend in HK

thanks for the review! when can we expect more detail photos (of the driver, led, o-rings?,..) and beamshots, please?

can't wait for mine :)

Raining ATM = No beams - Sorry

Lens retaining ring - grip and twist , maybe try some leather or other grip'y material

The guts , too small - looks like might be a press fit ?? truthfully , I dont want to stuff this one up ...

I will take a peak tomorrow and see if I can do it and not damage it

More pics please, if you get the time. Not of your girlfriend either, not with this crowd.

sorry, didn't mean to imply that you should gut it :)

white wall or bathroom beamshots with some other known lights would be great until it stops raining, pretty please

and are there any o rings at all? id doesn't look rainproof

Yeah no O rings , but the only way in for water would be the clicky , the rest appears to be tight tolerances ..

This is not a foul weather light , if you need to use it in the rain , protect the clicky ..

The light is small enough to fit in your hand .

White wall , yeah I can do that ...
