Waiting to see how this shakes out for US buyers. Would want two to four depending on price. Hopefully, the price will show a modest discount from the qty. one price.
I’ll open a gb thread if necessary(led4power wants me to) otherwise I’ll just keep it here. This thread might get crowded so I opened a thread for a US GB.
I’d appreciate it if you could put me down for 2 for the US group buy. I wanted to get 6V parts for 1 of them - can we do that? or just plain drivers for this?
seasam, just include in your wish list any mod parts/kits you want and they will get included in the GB order and sent along with your driver(s), as far as actual driver mods I hope that led4power would include the appropriately modded drivers in the order and they would get sent first to me and then to you. He has the final say on how that gets done though.
I’m assuming that led4power will include whatever parts or modded boards are ordered and for which the correct price is paid. The GB saves him the hassle of 15 packages/labels vs one. It’s up to us to generate an accurate list and pay the correct amount.
Sorry if I should already know this, but if we use this driver in the EE X6, and add the moonlight option, does it then become 5 mode, as in 4 mode plus moonlight? Or does the moonlight replace another mode? Thanks.
cabfrank, it’s added so you’ll have 5 modes with the added moon.
And the lower modes will be more efficient with the exception of moon, as I understand it, because it will be influenced by the level of the cells voltage and reduce as the cell drains… which is actually good due to the fact that it will gradually dim as the battery dies instead of suddenly shutting down.
No,this driver, just like LD-1, has 3 "main" modes (120mA,1.2A,6A),and you can enable/disable moonlight(~10mA on fresh battery, drops to few mA with nearly empty battery) in "sofware",so moonlight is 4th mode.Of course you must add/solder additional moonlight parts(one resistor and small NMOS transistor) if you want moonlight to work.In "factory" setting moonlight is disabled.
