Great pix. Thanks!

Thanks for the update!

So what parts does this use again? As in- what guts fit it? Nice pictures by the way, thanks for sharing!

He said Convoy S Series. I do hope the production light is the same.

Jealous over here!

It looks great. I like how it is unique. I can see the machining issues you pointed out. No biggie, especially for the price! Man what a deal.

It looks like Lukes Light Saber! lol

Thanks for the pics.

Thanks ChibiM. Terrific pictures.

@ChibiM. Thanks for the review and nice pictures. Please also post it if you find more further problems.

1.bezel ring has still some machine marks.

--Will not happen in massive production. Even if it happens, I will not ship it.

2.As per the discussion thread, pill is copper, but retainer might be brass.

3.The switch you get should look very strange, for me, too. It is same as TrustFire F22.

The prototype inner size is wrong, too big,so we made a copper ring to make them fit.You will not see it in the final.

4.The middle part knurling is deeper, just a try, it feels better than the less knurling-ed of tail part.

5.Not in alignment perfectly.

--Could it be the O-ring? We machined the middle and tail when they're screwed in one piece.

But after adding the O-ring, it goes wrong a little?

If so, we have to do the machining with an O-ring in them?

Wow.
Nice
I did not realise it was that size, I though it was larger.
I like that size, it might make a good EDC instead of my custom S3.

Ok, it’s been bugging me some, but why oh why did ChibiM get his first? {scratching head} I have better photo equipment, would absolutely promise not to throw it out the window of a moving car, and would love it and cherish it and call it my very own forever and ever.

So why HIM?! :stuck_out_tongue:

JK, seriously, nice pics dude and really really looking forward to getting mine. Trits all sitting here glowing like there was no tomorrow, anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new home.

DBCstm, I think he knows it`s not about the gear but about the person using it ;) so he chose me :p

Good one!

So, remind me… what does Epson have to do with this?

Edit: And isn’t it about time to clean your sensor?

Epson is my sponsor.. and sensor? What's that? Is that the new 35mm film?

That’s a fine-looking light.

Might want to get your camera cleaned to get rid of the dust spots and lint.

Thanks ChibiM for posting fantastic photo shots of a really nice torch

Gotcha Dale, just joking around. Will have to take a look, could be the Nikon close up filter I used as well.

I was yanking your chain too. But there really are some specks in your image that you could probably get rid of. Not likely to be on the close-up lens as that would be far enough away from the sensor (film plane) to be difficult to show up.

Let’s face it, excellent images have been taken for over a hundred years, equipment matters, but at the end of the day it’s how it’s used to the best of it’s abilities that matters.

Unless, off course, one chooses a [cough] Nicon

Good call. Will have to take a look inside.

Copper Hill Images, they make a little kit with the right fluid and a pack of lint free pads, with a nice set of instructions that includes pictures, makes it easy to do something most people won’t even attempt.

(Totally bizarre that I actually remembered that slightly odd name right when I needed to, very unusual for me.)
