New XP-L High Intensity Emitter

Maybe you know, maybe you dont know, but and LED is not sold just with the specification "CREE"
Model nname is required (XP-E, XP-G2), Brightness bin (Q2, Q3.....R5), color temperature (5700K, 3000K) but preferably you would know the tint and know exactly for yourself what to expect (1A, 1B, 1T, 3C, 5B1)

CRI wouldn't be bad to know, depends on your intended use ( kitchen, outdoor light, basement light not all have the same importance)

Also just so you know these CREE LEDs are manufactured in China.

You have deleted your post, but read here:

http://www.cree.com/~/media/Files/Cree/LED%20Components%20and%20Modules/XLamp/Data%20and%20Binning/XLampXPBL.pdf

OK

but seller give sweat to me that this led never com form china due to much solicitation from me to them they seller just say me these led montage in south Korea but the led chip come from American Cree company they have a reference buy sheet that korea seller sign that with american signet

what is data (Q2, Q3.....R5) or (1A, 1B, 1T, 3C, 5B1)?

i never see them in cree specification web site just a little explanation in their pdfs inconspicuous

yes i have a little weakness in English

excuse me some of keys my key keyboard some time malfunction and add more mistake to typing and thus i delete it and try to correct errors in typing and again type that

forgive me please

ok

i read pdf carefully but a lot of Chromaticity table that cree release

which luminous bin affected by them but just i must know they color temperature

and brightness in my job they important for me the cree table have a lot of Chromaticity

that who work for art lighting use to show the work of art in own scenes

or who that brighten area in art lighting like coloration illumination

did you buy cree led with this sheet completely

If you are lighting up artwork, you will want a high Cri output like 98cri

yes you told exactly

may be require more cri output like 99cri that is important to show the artwork to become more with integrity

The thing is that you can buy for example a XP-L that has a 65CRI and 1T tint, yes a lot of brightness but the tint will be bad, CRI not even worth talking about at that tint (1T).

But for that maybe you would be looking into CXA LEDs rather than XP-L LEDs.

we must be wait until cree release new led with extra brighness and high cri and tint but cree just

point at one thing in each product or they cant gather all features in one led and show that serve as one end updated product like cri=99 or 300 lpw or high tint or ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

or their polices is to show developments serially

always we search about high ended products

Back to the XP-L HI, I was supposed to have some coming but I received regular XP-L’s on accident. Those got returned so now back to waiting for the HI’s to be stocked again.

That sucks. All that waiting.

why cree show xp-l luminous more than xp-l hi in their first sheet

but in publicities they say xp-l hi have double in performance and luminous instead of xp-l

this is rather xp-l put 1226 lumen and xp-l hi put 1095 lumen in 10 watt consume

it is a little doubtful in their speech

which we belief to the sheet or the publicities?

candela value is different which they refer as double perfomance, not lumen value

So Mouser has these in stock , has anyone actually built one yet? I am thinking of doing a C8 I have with the Comfychair inspired FET mod on a single 18650. Would it be worth it to run this on two 18350’s for the higher voltage with the correct driver?

Sorry to hear that.

At least Mouser has them in stock now, so it should be only a matter of time before they show up all over the place

Thanks for the tip. Just ordered some 4000k and 5000k from Mouser.

Same here. Should be good for the upcoming BLF Ti ReyLight.

I see Mouser’s stock of these is going down as we speak.

Someone needs to order 12 of them and stick them in their M43

Had an email from Cutter last week to say that they would be shipping within two weeks, lets hope that they start shipping this week! Cannot stand the waiting :frowning:
