It was a misty night, near perfect for beam profile comparisons

Lightsaber?

Thanks for watching. :)

Pretty COOL!! I’m assuming the K40t and X60t are your own mods?

OK, maybe is because I just woke up but, your gif-s are 5 times faster than they should be, so instead 0,20S allow at least 2S per light. When you see the beam and you want to see what light was it you can’t, marking in top left corner already changed 2 times by that time.
I would advise puting still images so people could open those they are interested side by side as well as making a note about “t”…

Cheers

Thanks! Yes, they are my mods. K40t is fully modded and dedomed. X60t is a plain emitter swap to 4D tint.

Sorry for doing this post in a hurry. I thought that 1s would be good (enough) for comparisons, but I'll change them to your preference as soon as I have time. Same applies to single images and mouse over comparisons. Both are coming "soon".

At first I thought maybe you had the X60t and the X60M out of sync to the description? The 4D tint explains alot!!! What is the Light Saber Pic? K60? I really like the K60 shots too, pretty impressive BIG beam!!!

Nah, don’t worry that much, I probably am a bit cranky because they woke me up so early on my only free/non working day :weary: + I was a bit disappointed with K60 (that I was planning to buy) beam, expected to be better than K40…

Better now? :)

Sweet. It appears your waving goodbye in that last one. Do the yellower tints penetrate the fog better than the cool tints? Hows the plans for the comp going?

Thanks. Comp preparations are going well. We will have some very nice prizes (including your custom light!) - and in addition to that, I will donate the above K40t to the pool. :)

I can't really say. Warmer tints may be slightly better, but far more important is tighter beam and less spill (see X60M - it suffered quite a lot, despite of it's warmer tint)

X60t tint looks really nice!

Yellower tints cut through fog a lot better, the difference hiking down a mountain in the mist with one is huge. Decreasing with distance of course. Blasting more lumens out though decreases this on all lights I notice, so I’m guessing those two reasons are why its harder to see that in the pictures.
