Yes, I closed it because they said they could not refund my money until I did. They said the money was on paypals side and they could not refund it until I closed the case, so I closed the case.

If there is an open case, the seller may make refund at any time, the case is automatically closed.

If you close the case, you can not reopen it and you’re at the mercy of the seller.

So you are saying that gearbest outright lied to me? If that is the case then I will have a little talk with SB, the administrator for this forum. I'm sure PP will have no problem ripping the money back out of their hands if they need to. I'm not worried about it, that much.

You think SB is responsible for the sellers practices? You closed the PP case you gave up your only option for refund, as far as Paypal is concerned you got the refund before you closed the case.

Yes.

They don’t see your money, until the PP case is closed by you.

Then you have no leg to stand on, & they have your money.

They will try any method to string the time out so you don’t log a PP claim, & if you do log a PP claim, they will try anything to get you to close it, including fake tracking numbers, & contacting you via PM promising a solution.

I currently have 3 disputes open against GB

1. Olight S80 never dispatched- opened a ticket and asked them to which they said it was going to be sent (never was) I actually forgot about it until order #2 never arrived. The ticket was deleted and the order removed off the ‘my orders’ page! had to check my PayPal to see the transaction to make sure I wasn’t going crazy

2. Olight S80 and Luckysun - received the Luckysun, no Olight, Luckysun was broken- opened a ticket and they said the Olight was not available

3. Luckysun - never received.

Total:
x2 Olight S80 not received
x1 Luckysun not received
x1 Luckysun DOA

Over $100 total that was broken or never received. Definitely won’t be closing the Dispute until refunded!

Never had a problem with GB before just these last 3 orders.

I don't believe for one minute that SB is going to sit around and let its forum members get ripped off without booting their a$$es off the forum. Is he?

Hi Gearbest, I placed the above order for a NiteCore MH20 and made payment about 3 weeks ago, but the order still hasn't shipped. It is still listed as 'Processing' status since the order was placed, even though the payment has already been taken.

My order number for the MH20 is WW1506120810513712. Anything you can kindly do to find out when the product will be dispatched would be very much appreciated.

I have previously PM'd your BLF rep account. You responded that the item is in stock now and going through quality control. I have raised two tickets simply asking for a status update and when it might be fulfilled, but both have gone unanswered. Yesterday I was informed via another member with a GB contact that "we have new 50 MH20 arrive GearBest today, so now all orders are covered".

But my order still remains unshipped...

They just sent me an email yesterday saying one of my items ( a Ganzo 712 ) was on backorder, they would ship the entire order when they got it (7-15 business days!). Today, they send me a notice my entire order has shipped… WTHM? I continued my ticket with them asking about this, but it really seems the place has fallen apart in the last month or so…

I will see how long this order takes, but I am out an OPUS V2.2 (too late for paypal, just gotta trust them…) and now it looks like I will be an item short in an order, to be sent later I guess…

Frustrating, but not end of the world stuff…

I have the refund in my paypal account. Honestly, I believe that it was only because of the exposure on BLF though.

I have a question for gearbest and would like an answer from them here.

How do we do a stock check to find out if something I want to buy is in stock or not. So this does not happen again. Most websites, well not most but some have quantities available showing near the add to cart button. I need the answer from gearbest only.

My experience is far from being rewarding, as many i got lured by the cheap prices. I am basically getting all “problems” previously shown on forums AND on trustpilot (when you skip the 5 star real reviews mixed by numerous fake ones)

So far :

-I placed a regular 120 $ order on their website, with all products appearing on stock (as confirmed later by the customer service)
-The company asked me both about ID and credit card photograph. While ID pic “could” be ok to send, its not the same with credit card. It is of course not safe to send credit card info.
-Had to fight them not to give my credit card info, I also paid with Paypal so why would they even need it?
-After 5 working days I opened a Paypal dispute as they keep answering “your order will be sent soon” without giving me any date and after confirming everything was in stock.
-A few hours after I opened the dispute, they sent yesterday a part of my order. A photograph with registration number “proving” that my order was sent. But no info on the swedish tracking website after 1 working days (meaning they actually did not ship it yesterday, I am myself working with ecommerce and registered mail in sweden)
-Then the answer on the ticket is simple : If you want the second part of your order, you need to close the dispute.

Funny. Thats how they trick people. They make them wait until the customer is fed up and open a dispute (if you were smart enought to pay Paypal) Then they “ship” the cheapest part of the order, worth 20$ (I guess its just waiting in their warehouse), then use blackmail to force customer to close the dispute : If you don’t close, we don’t ship the second part (worth 100:money_mouth_face:. But what if the customer does close the dispute? He might never get his money back nor his items.

Like many said,better buy on Amazon/Aliexpress, pay extra bucks and stay on the safe side. My question is : is this company half scam half real, trying to the maximum to steal ID and cards form customers but smartly hiding behind their “legit” part, which is e-commerce with really, really slow shipping? The legit part allowing them to stay active and get Norton Secure?

I see that CSgearbest seems to be ignoring the problem with tracked shipping showing up as free and then the order gets sent out un-tracked. This has been pointed out by myself and a few others here now but so far no response from Gearbest either here or in tickets I have created on your website. Example again of an order under $40 showing free tracking:

I will not be placing any further orders until this problem is resolved and there is some compensation for sending without tracking.

Like i wrote previously, i will not close the case until i get my items. Asking ID pic to verify identity could be understandable, but come on, we are in 2015? So easy to photoshop pictures isn’t it? And what’s your excuse for asking credit card info?

If everything was in stock why did you not ship everything (I know you use 3rd part logistics and multiple warehouses so you might not have all items in stock in the same warehouse) but you could still have sent from 2 warehouses in the same time frame. In your very long PM, you are trying to “bribe” me by offering me 200 reward points. But you don’t get it. I will never use your service again so why bother?

Instead of spending so much money and effort into customer service, why don’t you improve your logistics to ship faster and provide working tracking number? Could you please tell us why the first package is still untraceable on Postnord.se?

Anyway as for my case I will not close the PP dispute. You can chose, either send my items, since it will be sent registered you can prove i got delivery. Or provide me a full refund. Worst case i get it by Paypal, once the claim will be finished. But once again you will lose time and money, so why don’t you keep it simple?
