US GB, LD-2 driver by led4power. One member hasn't received theirs yet, anyone else? Please chime in.

At least put the SinkPads in a pretty 3”x 5” picture frame.

Might have to take a nice High Res 21MP photo of the sheet of drivers and sheet of SinkPad’s and put THAT in a frame, put the physical stuff to work! lol

(I’ve go a nice fat stack of the SinkPad’s, but only one of the panels has the connecting strip top AND bottom!)

How I spent my Friday. See you all later.

Con man, that’s what you are! “How I spent my Friday”, oh please! It’s only 11 AM here, meaning 9 AM for you. Still VERY early on a Friday, with a lot of day left to play. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you Scott, we really appreciate you doing all this.

Divvying up the small parts next(NTC, moon and 6v kits etc.)

Heck of a way to celebrate your 6000th post. (And the 4th.) Huge thanks to you and led4power!

My contribution to the forum. These parts are real small. The mods will be excruciatingly fun.

It’s noted in the info thread that one of two jumpers must be soldered depending on whether you use one or two cells and that the boards are sent out with neither one soldered so the driver won’t function until the proper jumper is soldered.

For single cell just draw a bit of solder from the spring pad out onto the #1 jumper pad.

For two cells, no solder on pad #1 and solder jumper pad #2.

It’s very important that both are not soldered at the same time.

Here’s a pic showing the back of the driver and the two jumper pads.

For any who ordered kits I will assume you plan to do this yourself but any who ordered drivers and don’t feel up to doing more than adding a spring and wires please let me know so I can solder the correct jumper for you.

I’m not sure how I will want to use mine. In fact they might be used differently anyway. So just send mine not soldered, but if you would, include a note in the package to remind me to solder one jumper before using. Thanks!

Will do.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise but knowing how often such details are missed or forgotten I wanted to be sure this was noted before there was a slew of “My driver doesn’t work!” posts. I had forgotten it myself but knowing there are many who would like as close to plug and play as possible wanted to see if any needed the that soldering done. It’s much easier than adding kit parts and pretty close to just adding the wires.

-Edit, guys I’m not volunteering to solder a bunch of kits, the decision to get kits or have led4power do the job was made by each of you when you ordered. In a pinch I can do it but it will delay your shipment as the parts are small. I don’t have a hot air reflow gun, and there are a bunch of these boards. The jumpers have no parts and can be done quickly, not so with the kits.

Taking a break. Time for a walk down to the brewery.

Which brewery?

Iron Springs in Fairfax. 2 Kent Lake Kolche’s and grub. Nice walk too.

Delicious. I love San Rafael/Fairfax, probably even more than Healdsburg.

You have more wineries up there.

True. I’m not complaining about either version of Paradise.

All the divvying is done and carded. Next comes a double check of each order before closing it up. Also, those that requested jumper soldering have been completed. Anyone else needing solder jumpers done needs to pm me tonight as tomorrow is envelope day.

It looks like 8 extras with enough spare parts for all the mods on some of them. I still want to get this batch out the door before opening it up again but there should be plenty of time to include one in a contest build. One is already spoken for.

Now there are 6 extras. 0:)

No need to solder mine, but thanks for offering. And thanks for putting this together.

These are not as “plug and play” as other drivers we buy since they come without wires or springs which are certainly easy enough to add and completely change the shipping paradigm but the note on the solder jumpers for 1 cell or 2 cell operation could be easily missed and I’m trying to give everyone more of an opportunity to know about this detail. All I can say is “read the info thread op from end to end” and if there’s anything you don’t understand then ask. The most striking difference between this forum and another is the willingness to help that dominates the responses to questions.
