Review request for HKJ [Rechargeable Batteries]

This is Grace from AWT, thanks a lot for testing the AWT battery , i learned it from Light Junkie (http://budgetlightforum.com/user/6571) that you are going to test the new 18650 3000mah 35A battery, i have send you the PM, please check you inbox mail. so glat to have you !!!

I also suggested that battery for review. I got some[Thanks to HKJ REVIEW!] ~ 1 month ago based on the reputation of the 18650 IMR 2500mAh 35A. It seems to work well.

I am VERY curious to know what cell is inside? Is it a Samsung cell

Thanks,Wolfdog/Capolini!

Hi Wolfdog/Capolini,
This is Grace, thanks for interested in our battery. i learned that you curious about our battery are re-wraped from Samsung, or LG, or Panosonic or …, i have to addmit that curious is a good thing, it help people to find out the truth. but why we re-wrap the battery? we have so many different capacity of the 18650 battery 1600mah, 2000mah , 2500mah , 2600mah, 3000mah 3100mah with different current , and NOT mention about other size like 266650 or 10440 14500 16340 18350 18490 18500 etc. we have our product line. so , the answer is no ! we did not re-wrap the other brand battery, we are the AWT !!! Original and Authentic !!!
Anyway, it is glad to know you! wish you good day !
Regards
Grace Vivian Aweite (AWT)

That sounds interesting.

@AWT do you have a strong IMR10440 battery?

The only good one is so far the Efest IMR10440, i hope you will offer an even stronger one

HKJ, please test the AWT 10440 battery
these look interesting also, AWT 18650 3000mha 40A
And the AWT 18650 2600mha 40A

And to windyfire-linda (Hi again  & Grace vivian Aweite, I strongly believe that HKJ’s battery tests are for many enthusiasts the gate keeper for a sale, because i care very little about what the manufacturer says the battery can do. What i care about & i know many with me care about, is what HKJ’s test says the battery can do under different amp loads.
So we can know if the battery you are offering are the best fit for what we plan to use it for.

So if you have a new battery send it as soon as possible to HKJ to get tested, because I will only buy batteries that he has tested

Hi Cajampa,

Thanks for interesting about our battery, we have send the battery to HKJ to test, and he give us the review on the candle light forum and his own web: Index of AWT batteries

This time, we are going to send HKJ the new released battery 3000mah (18650 )and 5200mah (26650).

Since HKJ is specialized in this field. I believe what HKJ shows us is the most trustworthy data.

Thanks and Best Regards

Grace Vivian Aweite

@ Cajampa,

When you click on your link FOR 10440 Batteries it shows 14500 batteries[pictures] and describes 10440??!

When I copy/paste link it has neither…it redirects you?

hmmmmmm. That is strange. EVERY AWT battery that HKJ has done you did NOT provide information as to what CELL it is?!! Why is that? What is the big secret?!!

If you search for 10440 on there page you will find them, but yes the listings are very “confused” of what they are really offering, and don’t make a good first impression.

  • they sell Ultrafire batteries :Sp, a seller who deals in those always makes me trust them much less :expressionless:

We all know the Ultrafires are of horrible quality & massively lies about there capacity, so i really can’t understand why an honest seller would want anything to do with them at all.

It looks to me they are claiming they manufacture the batteries themselves and don’t rewrap. So the cell inside (if it is true) are AWT.

Thanks,ya,those Ultrafires concerned me about their legitimacy as a seller/manufacturer!

Exactly,that is what they claim.

My point is :If it is true WHY don’t they mentioned the cell used? Every single battery that they sent HKJ they DO NOT reveal the cell? Why is that? Are they hiding something?

To the best of my knowledge Sony, Panasonic, Samsung ect. always do?! They are proud of them and have nothing to hide!

Still waiting for GRACE to reply to my post!

Just my thoughts/opinions!

I don’t understand your point, if it is a AWT IMR18650 2500mAh 35A battery then that IS the cell inside. If it is true that they are making there own cells like they claim & don’t rewrap.
Just as if you have a Panasonic NCR18650PF then that is the NCR18650PF cell inside.

The only time i remember HKJ adding cell information that differ from the “Name” of the cell, is when it is a rewrap like keeppower or oribitronic for example & not if the information is unavailable.

It is not that complicated!

Did you ever use HKJ’s comparator??

Look at AWT reviews/specifications and the CELL that is used is BLANK and NEVER mentioned. Look at Sony, Samsung,LG ect., The cell “Used” is always mentioned in the specs!

Below is what HKJ says at the end of the review of the AWT IMR 2500mAh battery. In this case, “The Unspecified Cell” gets good grades!

Conclusion

Usual a battery with unspecified cell will not get better rating than acceptable, but there is no doubt it is a very good cell that is used here.

I thin you both are not understanding each other.
Cajampa meant that if they have their own cell… They do not need to mention another manufacturer cell as if it were a rewrap so if you are reviewing a 18650 2450mAh 38A… At the point… CELL Used you won’t read INR18650-25R5… But just nothing because it’s their own cell

Now I don’t know if wolf dog just wanted AWT to put a code on their own cell if this is the case… So an AWT 18650 2450mAh 28A… Would be marked as CELL ID something like (AWT18650XYZ38A)

My guess….

I thought I was VERY clear!!

I am NOT alone in speculating/wondering that AWT, EFEST and others may be re wraps because they do NOT verify or mention what cell they are using. For Crying out loud,HKJ mentions it every time at the end of the review when the cell is NOT specified!

WHY WOULD THEY LEAVE IT BLANK?!!

Qui Riposa in pace!!

I include the cell used if I am told what cell it is and allowed to include the information. I.e. the information is not what I can guess about the cells used, but what I am told.

Generally I doubt the different Chinese brands has their own cell factory, but if a brand states clearly that a cell is made in their own factory, I will probably include that information.

Thanks HKJ for clarifying! 8)

HUGE difference between Panasonic[established/verified/trusted] and AWT or Efest!

That is like saying if it is EFEST IMR 18650 2500mAh 35A then that is what cell is inside?!

Sorry, if someone I do not know says something I need some proof or verification before I believe them, especially from a communist country like China! They thrive on American support, regardless of that when it comes to money, people can and will do anything to make sure that it[$] continues to flow!

??? Yes I know it is not complicated, that is why I was trying to explain that to you.

But you seemed to not realize (in the post i was replying to) that the name of the battery WAS the cell inside. Of course we couldn’t have know that before Grace claimed AWT make there own cells, but until that is disproven I will assume that is what they are.

They only thing i didn’t understand about your point, was why you where asking a question that was already answered.

I also have doubts that AWT truly make all there own cell & seemingly can compete with the massive battery manufacturer like LG, Samsung & Panasonic. And just “happen” to launch new spec cell very near the launch of these often rewrapped cells in similar specs & capacity as the big & well know manufacturers.
If they really can make such high end products WHY would they ever want to taint there reputation, with Ultrafire products that makes no sense to me at all :~

But as i said before in this thread if HKJ test says they are good compared to other cells in the market, then they are an option to buy for me

Thanks TheBo  you got it, and yes Wolfdog you aren’t alone in suspecting them, but now AWT have at least officially claimed by there representative Grace to be “original & authentic” battery cell manufacturers, so we will have to see how this all plays out in the future

The Chinese manufacturers have at least produced 2 cells that i know of that beats anything the usual big manufacturers have made yet, the Windyfire 14500 600mha 10A & the Efest IMR10440 350mha cells + many of the good 26650 & 32650 cells i think also are Chinese made……right?. So at least we know in “unusual” sizes they can compete.
