DQG designer's thread (George): Official website back online

Ha, whatever you wrote originally in this reply was similarly not showing (obviously because it was seen as a tag) - thanks for editing so fast!

Yeah, that's the exact closing tag I tried first, but whenever I added it into the Forum's comment editor it automatically removed it. I'm using the Rich-text editor where you can press the 'HTML' button to see/edit the comment in HTML. I also tried in the standard editor. Always removed the closing tag when I pressed save...

Did you do anything special to insert it into the post?

Ah - got it. I'll try that next time if I come across it again.

Thanks again mate.

Whoops, I meant that the advanced text editor doesn’t do anything with HTML tags, it just makes them disappear. On the other hand, the simple editor seems to remove them and apply the text styling.

If you click on the quote button on the 10th post, you can see exactly what I typed because the text is preserved.

i want the DQG AA with netural white XP-G2

Is the CNqualitygoods.com down for good?

You're right, it just doesn't show that in the Advanced editor, or using the HTML code view - if the users prefs are set to use the 'Advanced editor' for comments.

This Advanced editor also prevents viewing the missing tags in the offending post, and fixing it by manually inserting 'rogue' unmatched closing tags into the HTML.

So I switched my prefs to test the 'Simple editor' and what do you know... It shows the tags and lets me add them manually.

Also lets me see the opening 'strong' tag and missing tag in the original offending post, which the Advanced editor does not - even in HTML view!

Problem solved and found out why some can fix and some can't. Many thanks.

the site is now called EDC-light.com!!!

EDC-Light is a fairly new site by Ric, who also runs CnQualityGoods ("CNQG"). As of tonight both sites are up, online and still trading separately.

CNQG an online Chinese retailer run by Ric, not to be confused with DQG a band of flashlight designed by George. There is also a flashlight brand called CQG (eg. CQG Bullet), which are not designed by George and may or may not be affiliated with CNQG. It just so happens that CNQG stock DQG and CQG flashlights. You still with me?!

Sometimes the prices are a little different between CnQualityGoods & EDC-Light, so it's worth checking both. And CNQG has a slightly lower than 'market' price for 'members' (aka simply registered users).

There was a 20% discount code given to new sign-ups on EDC-Light a couple of months back when it first opened, but I think he has stopped doing that now.

Also, Ric is on these forums, although he is often painfully slow at responding. He is nonetheless very friendly, professional and helpful. It is worth dropping him a PM @ http://budgetlightforum.com/user/406 and/or email to ThomasRic <cnqualitygoods@hotmail.com>.

Perhaps kindly request a code for whatever light you're after and I'm sure he will consider some offer or deal.

Good luck,

Hirsh

Well, that’s a relief. George’s lights are amazing.

this is George, the designer and producer of DQG’s products, it’s my first comment of this forum, just try to test forum function is normal or not. many thanks to those friends own DQG products, and shame to all shortcoming on those products.

Thanks for honoring us with your presence. I have one each of the 10180 lights. No shortcomings at all. Keep them coming!

I have always been curious about this model:

(either one) is it an early model?

Welcome to the forum George! Its great to have you here. Ive had several DQG’s. Your latest 26650 EDC Triple XPG2 has been an absolute masterpiece for the price! Well done sir, and thank you.

Please stop by to visit us more often and we can give you some great advice on the type of flashlights we would like to buy. Have you considered a high output light with Cree XHP-70 emitter?

Welcome to the forum George! Thanks for your 18650 Tiny III , It is my current favorite light (until your headlamp is made)

yes, this picture based an early Tiny AAA model that raised by a friend before DQG 10180 series come out. Final I do not accept it due the drivers are not fit to 4.2V li-ion battery in that time; and even now the newest drivers can take 4.2V but slightly PWM flicks can be observed (of cause no PWM flicks drivers can be done if the size of driver and whole light is not limited); and to reach as small as could of a light, and more, the shape of 10180 on the picture is not so good as I think, so, so, a new design of 10180 series is came out as current.

Good Day George aka yishenger,

Great to have you here, WELCOME!!

Could you Please give us some info on the upgraded Tiny 26650 V3.0, or?

Btw, love your flashlights.

Thank you Very Much,

Best Regards,

George

Hi, does considering of using XHP-70 to instead Tiny 26650, but the core of XHP-70 is too large, the optics system cannot help to make a Tiny light if you also want to have a acceptable hot spot and flood. as you know all I doing is to make a flashlight as small as could and same time can reach good efficiently, and have a acceptable hot spot and flood. so, to the high output light as my plan now will be replaced by the upgrade 26650 in later. 7 XPG2 have nearly same output compare to XHP-70, right? even more if you can source top performance XPG2.

Hi, its happy that you like it and thank you too.

Is it possible to fit a TIR optic over the XHP70 ?
