BLF Kronos X6/X5 GB - Group Buy now closed.

L I B! I actually have some of those!

Time to do some testing, I’d forgotten all about em… pulled my little Rook just yesterday and topped off the cells and it had these in it. I didn’t even think about it.

I’ll do a couple of checks on a chopped MiniMag triple to see how output is with the AW Red IMR vs. these Windyfires…. be back…

Edit: I also have a SS Maxtoch 14500 light with a 15mm FET driver and XP-L V6 3D, will test that with 3 cells and see how they stack up, should be very relevant to this little proposed copper light. I have an Efest IMR 14500, AW IMR14500, and the Windyfire 14500. They’re all on the charger, same XTAR charger, so we’ll soon see. Will still do the triple for the difference in demand…

My Efest V2 IMR14500 is taking forever to charge, so here’s some results on the AW and Windyfire which will be the top 2 anyway.

MiniMag light chopped by Texas Lumens and built by yours truly, triple XP-G2

AW IMR14500 (Red) 5.59A for 1959.6 lumens
Windyfire IMR14500 5.50A for 1897.5 lumens

Ultrafire C3 SS 14500 light, with XP-L V6 3D and Wights 15mm A17DD S08 FET driver

AW IMR14500 (Red) 4.13A for 1021.2 lumens
Windyfire IMR14500 4.23A for 1048.8 lumens

So, the Windyfire seems to do better in a single emitter FET style light while the AW nudges it out in a Triple set-up. The MiniMag has one of the older FET drivers.

Being as how the Windyfire is easy to get from Richard, I’d say it’s the hands-down choice for this proposed little K6.

I’d like an aluminum set, NW. Thanks

I want a Al set #42 to match my SS/Cu set, WW, and switch with Nisse, who has expressed interest in #100 if he doesnt mind!

1 x SS/Cu CW, please!
Thanks

  1. Copper host, 14500 sized, same form factor as X6, but scaled down
(I thought form factor was size so how can it be scaled down?)
(I get it is smaller ie 14500 vs 18650 but is the head the same size or also smaller) sounds like a dumb question but I am unclear about it.
  1. I want the 14500 in copper NW I am willing to go in and split a set (because I as yet can not buy just the copper :_( ) any intrested parties?

Same form factor here means shape and proportion. The object is to create a miniature X6.

Good luck on that wish, the smaller copper light is going to be in heavy demand! An easily pocketable 1000+ lumen pocket rocket? Yeah, good luck with that.

Krono, one SS/Cu WW & one SS/Cu CW

Current list in post 164...updated to post 183

We are doing great!!!! Keep em coming!

Not a stupid question but just as Dale says.....a scaled down X6 to make a miniature X6 that will easily fit in a pocket,,,,easier than the X6 already is.

Never hurts to ask about splitting but that little piece of copper will be in very heavy demand. That is why the HAIII set is being offered. Either set is deal at the given prices but even so it will not be difficult to sell off any light that one does not want because these lights are limited and serialized. The moral here is that it is worth buying a set whether it is Al or SS/Cu and if you think about it ....two sets

bugsy36, thanks for taking the time to keep the lists going in Kronos absence. I think something has happened with the numbering on your Aluminium list. I was definitely number 31 on Krono's original list, as it matched for both sets. Now it seems to have jumped one spot. Did someone get added in between? Please would you be kind enough to move it back to pos.31 for us.

EDIT: I think it was because malenurse was missed out, so hopefully he will be alright swapping two positions to put nguyen and myself back as Krono did. Is that cool with you malenurse please mate? Would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Also, djozz was kind enough to agree to swap our positions 13 <--> 15 on the Aluminium set (by PM). I'm just waiting to hear back if mizjif was open to the same for the premium set.

I know it's all very petty this numbering thing - but small things amuse small minds as they say! At least its got us all interacting and talking to each other. Great team building!!

Thanks again,

Hirsh

Correct. Malenurse was missed. I am intentionally staying out of the numbering game. I will note that someone wants a certain number but think that both parties should state acceptance in the thread.....and Kronos decide if he wants to do it :) I am just playing grunt here :)

Just a heads up.
I’ve PM’d sarge regarding the serial swap (my #20 spot for his #57 spot), as he posted interest before I posted inquiring about getting that number (post #157).

Screw it. Put me down for an Al set in NW.

I pm’ed with Tinn44 and he agreed to swap his #34 with my #39, could you kindly update on the list?

Thank you so much~

Umm… guys? Read… (post #187)

...moved the list to the last post (finally near desktop).

We are doing good!! Keep em coming..... "the more the merrier" and "the sooner the better"

Resistance is futile!

Right! I would like to add Al NW to my prior order.

Here’s a question: Since the Al list is probably going to meet the goal sooner than the Cu list, does that mean the Al lights will go into production sooner or will you wait for all goals to be met?

Hi. bugsy36

I’m happy to swap positions 31 <—> 32 with ahirshy in the Aluminium list.

Thanks.
