The truth? ... I don't know. Kronos is the one that may know. It could be that they want to see both meet the goals to go into production but I cannot say that is case for certain without lying. :)
The SS/Cu list is not doing that bad. I know samples are being made now and are about two weeks away.
I highly doubt that either list will be an issue after the samples come. The thing to remember is that many people still missed out on the X6-SE and many more wished that they bought more then they did. So...even though these are in "numbered" sets I can still see people wanting the X6-SE v2 and getting the K6 (14500) as a welcomed bonus....and the opposite for those that are after the K6.
In my case I bought more than a dozen X6-SE's (I think 18), primarily for gifts and everybody loved them......even the coworkers wives. I am seriously considering a couple more SS/Cu sets and additional Al set for the sole purpose of breaking them up and giving them as gifts. Nobody except us knows that they come in sets so for me that can equal 6 gifts I do not have to look for :)
Like I said before...these lights are not extravagantly priced at all!
Thanks so much for confirming on the thread Nguyen. That puts me back to where I was (pos.31 to match the premium set) without needing to disrupt MaleNurse. He did also respond as willing to swap but isn't too bothered about position.
So if you're happy at 32 now and MaleNurse is happy staying at 30 we can just leave it there, else you two could also swap if preferred...
Thanks again to you both for entertaining the ridiculousness!
Still need driver and Triple LED and and Triple optic or donor light
Rey X6-Ti Host Only $150 (doesn't it look good!) Yes, I really like the X6 :)
Still need driver and Triple LED and and Triple optic
Sinner Copper Tri-EDC host $95 (very worthwhile craftsmanship and quality!)
Light Engine: $95.00 +$35.00 for dedomed XPL
A17DD-S08 FET Driver $15.00
Clip $5.00
Total $245
The BLF Ti is the most inexpensive for a custom light and that will still end up costing at least $70. The SS/Cu set is only $80 for TWO working lights that have the A17DD-S08 +1 7135 FET Driver flashed with TK's firmware, XPL emitter of your choosing.
Do I like the X6? I may have mentioned that somewhere :) At these prices AND remembering history....there is no way to go wrong. I would still bet just like the original X6-SE that there will be late-comers or people that just want another AFTER THE DEAL IS OVER. So if you are after just the 14500 you would still be ok. Like the Rey X6-Ti?....well SS can bling just as nice. Point is that we cannot buy just one of the lights offered in the SS/Cu set for $80.
....and yes - I am passionate about this buy (SS/Cu & Al) and I will push for it as hard as I can :) ...and No, I am not on Kronos' payroll....he's too cheap
Hey Chuck, with a proper length of paracord through those perfectly sized lanyard holes, the weight of a SS X6 would be quite easy to manage.
Besides, it would assist in ridding heat when you twirl it around …… if you know what I mean.
