BLF Kronos X6/X5 GB - Group Buy now closed.

Put me down for an Al NW set too

Ok, another Al NW set please.

Post #203 not showing on list. Please put me in slot #58. Thanks bugs.

Fellow BLF friends :) .........

For the SS/Cu see these comparisons.

  • Rey BLF-Ti Host Only $50
  • Still need driver and Triple LED and and Triple optic or donor light
  • Rey X6-Ti Host Only $150 (doesn't it look good!) Yes, I really like the X6 :)
  • Still need driver and Triple LED and and Triple optic
  • Sinner Copper Tri-EDC host $95 (very worthwhile craftsmanship and quality!)
  • Light Engine: $95.00 +$35.00 for dedomed XPL
  • A17DD-S08 FET Driver $15.00
  • Clip $5.00
  • Total $245

The BLF Ti is the most inexpensive for a custom light and that will still end up costing at least $70. The SS/Cu set is only $80 for TWO working lights that have the A17DD-S08 +1 7135 FET Driver flashed with TK's firmware, XPL emitter of your choosing.

Do I like the X6? I may have mentioned that somewhere :) At these prices AND remembering history....there is no way to go wrong. I would still bet just like the original X6-SE that there will be late-comers or people that just want another AFTER THE DEAL IS OVER. So if you are after just the 14500 you would still be ok. Like the Rey X6-Ti?....well SS can bling just as nice. Point is that we cannot buy just one of the lights offered in the SS/Cu set for $80.

....and yes - I am passionate about this buy (SS/Cu & Al) and I will push for it as hard as I can :) ...and No, I am not on Kronos' payroll....he's too cheap

It’s almost half the price, I’m honestly not surprised, this is BUDGET light forum after all

Bugs, please stop hawking …. I’m at 4 sets already. Might do something nuts like go for 18! :stuck_out_tongue:

As Budget as I am, that is not the reason for me choosing the AL.

The SS X6 while pretty, will not to be able to get rid of heat like the AL can, and it is Heavy.

The copper K6 sounds cool, but heavier, tarnishes, and HAIII Al is just all this poor boy needs.

Thanks,
-Chuck

Put me down for one set each in NW.

Hey Chuck, with a proper length of paracord through those perfectly sized lanyard holes, the weight of a SS X6 would be quite easy to manage.
Besides, it would assist in ridding heat when you twirl it around …… if you know what I mean.

Added. Thank you!!

You are more than fine Sir (and appreciated too!) :) I was directing more towards those that are not on either list :)

I know The original X6-SE got me that way too. LOL. Aw hell with it!!! I will meet your 4 :)

Hi hear ya, Bugsy.

For those that are not on either of the lists be forewarned, that there will be Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth:-(

These are some Serious lights going for cheap!

Thanks!
-Chuck

interested in $45 set, thanks

So has there been any further talk of the Copper middle on the SS light?

Bugsy36, Please can you correct my item in the Aluminium list is somehow listed as SS/Cu instead of Al. Please also note the confirmation by Nguyen below which should make the position swap (which happened only since MaleNurse was added) an easy one too. Ta buddy!

djozz, I would really like #13 if you want to trade…

If not, let me know…

As of this moment - no. Although cool I am not sure what they will have to do to accomplish that logistically. As far as dealing with Neal "I" am concentrating on getting the samples (including the 14500 light) produced ASAP so that we do not have the same frustration that we had to endure with the BLF A6......and still dealing with it. The other thing that I am pushing for is metal switch covers.

The other stuff I will leave up to Kronos and company to lead and help any way I can.

one more set of each in NW

I’d imagine the metal switch covers might actually be harder to do than changing the material on an existing component. It usually takes some minor form of magic (or at least some hardware redesign) to make a metal button without losing the waterproof properties.

I hope you’re able to get it worked out!

Yes, practical side of me said Al, but the other side of me said “oooh, coool shiny silver and copper and #42!” The battle was immediately lost.

Me too. So I’ll take an SS/Cu in NW please.
